I've had this account for quite a while, but I'm hoping to become more active. I am starting college and figuring out my life and all that jazz and it is extremely stressful. I love studying music, but I somewhat regret that it has made oboe less of a refuge for me. I like writing because I can give my unwanted emotions to someone else (thankfully a fictional one, for the more unpleasant ones) and don't have to deal with them anymore.

I am mostly a reader, although I may post one shots occasionally (I write a lot of things that will probably never be finished and it seems unfair to post them.)

I hate to be so college-y and just talk about my major, but I think that what I'm studying says a lot about me. I currently can't really decide what I want to do. I definitely want to work in engineering, but I love music, so I'm a double major in mechanical engineering and music. I also took German for four years in high school, so I'm minoring that. My music major (if I actually go through with it) is basically for fun. I play the oboe, mainly, and a handful of other instruments I've picked up along the way. Music is a huge part of my life - this is the first time I've ever taken a music class and I'm loving it.

Writing is a fun thing I like to do, but when things get busy it is one of the first things to get cut off of my list of priorities, so I'm not exactly a dependable writer. I may disappear for a while or a year. :/
