![]() Author has written 3 stories for Romance. Profiles are always fun to write. Hooray! Let's see, let's see, where to begin. Hi! I'm WaterhouseMermaid (named after JW Waterhouse's painting called "The Mermaid", it's absolutely gorgeous, I advise looking at it if you haven't already) . I am currently living in Seattle where I'm attending school (having graduated last year with my undergrad in Econ). In the past one year period, I've lived in Atlanta, Washington DC, and Seattle. I have horrible wanderlust and I don't see it stopping any time soon. I'm a strong believer in writing reviews. If I read a story, I'm going to leave a review, even if its only a few words. Writers depend on constructive criticism to help them improve. So please, if you're going to read anything I write (and especially if you're going to put me on alerts or on favorites) please leave a review knowing that if I read anything of yours, I will be polite enough to do the same. Any who... Where the Water Roars is the name of the story that I am currently working on. I have most of it written by hand and I'm making major edits as I type it up. Likewise, updates should happen on a fairly regular basis. It follows the story of Kyle, a 22 year old bartender who follows his family tradition of making a living by fishing in Alaska. He receives a job as a Greenhorn on the FV Tigerlily where he begins to develop feelings for his deckboss Jack. But of course, there's drama, angst, violence, and the thrills that are associated with fishing on the Bering Sea. So likewise, homosexuality is a major theme in it and if you don't like that, then don't read it. It was pointed out to me that I haven't concretely stated ages of characters and their relations to each other. So this is what we know so far: Andersons: Jeremy (35), Alex (28), Kyle (22) Connells: Matt (36), Stephen (33), Kat (32), Jack (29) Kat is related to Matt, Stephen, and Jack by her father Bull Connell, who is their uncle on their father's side. Aaron is 31 and Cowboy is 29. Feeling Off-Sides is a 6 shot 5+1 story that was inspired by the World Cup (and all the eye candy on the field). It follows the reaction of Charlie, the star Forward of an English team, when younger and equally talented player Mike is brought over from America to play for the team. While initially he feels threatened that he's being replaced, Charlie realizes that there's more to life than just fame and his feelings for Mike might just be more than camaraderie. It's not as in depth as WtWR, but more of a silly drabble that I had fun writing. |
