![]() Author has written 4 stories for Young Adult, Supernatural, and Nature. Oh, boy ... This needed to be updated. The name's Jen. I'm eighteen. Attending college. Majoring in English. Minoring in Creative Writing and possibly Communications. Like everyone else on FicPress, three of my greatest passions are reading, writing, and editing. I'm currently on hiatus, though I still reply to reviews and answer messages. Expect new work to be posted this summer. "What sets me apart isn't my subject material. What sets me apart is my voice. It's not always the story that changes -- it's the storyteller." My currents works posted on FicPress include Half-Breed: Book One, "Lovely Night for a Funeral," "Never Piss Off a Vampire," and "The Mists." Half-Breed: Book One is a work in progress that is currently on hiatus due to my hectic schedule and major overhauling plot-wise. It is the recipient of three awards presented by the judging staff of the Fiction and Prose Supernatural Awards (FPSSA) located at fpsupernaturalawards(dot)webs(dot)com. In Season Three of this site's competitions, this Fic won the categories of: Best Vampire Story, Best Kick-Ass Character, and Judge's Pick. By my standards, this is crap; but everyone else seems to enjoy it. "Lovely Night for a Funeral" is a complete short story with the potential to be much more. A quick read, but one that gets the imagination going and tugs at one's curiosity. "Never Piss Off a Vampire" is a complete short story written specifically for an online prompt-competition hosted by the FPSSA. It was the winner of said competition. "The Mists" is a poem composed in seven rhyming quatrains focusing on a single element of the Autumn season. My first "real" poem. If one is feeling adventurous and wishes to read my work, please review. And by review, I mean give me actual feedback. Don't bother sending me something that says "Nice story. Update soon. :)". I'd like an actual comment on my plot or my characters or my ... other stuff. Thanks. |
