Author has written 7 stories for Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Mythology, and Essay.
I had hoped to be close to done with TSO by now.
The stuff section of my profile has been updated. Don't read it, as it is mostly inane kerfuffle written at 1 AM. Oh, and I cleaned up my profile, which no longer has the appearance of a blog, with the exception of this post. Isn't that lovely?
Stuff (with edits. Hey, it's the New Year, figured I should update stuff before it fossilizes):
I'm a 20-year-old female full-time (except on holidays!) college student. Likes: reading (Gone With the Wind, the book, is awesome btw), writing (no duh?), biology (mmm, frog hearts), neuroscience (mmm, frog brains), swimming (mmm, frogs), and sailing. Dislikes: people who tell me I should major in English (happily, they don't do this anymore. Usually the knowledge that I'm doubling in neuroscience and computer science causes them to run away) , excess swearing (in the past. Now I sound like a sailor. It's all my roomie's fault.), and bigotry (This still sucks). Much of what I write tends to be fantasy, but I'm trying to branch out into other genres.
Constructive criticism is ALWAYS appreciated. Please be honest! If something is bad, say so. I'd rather find out sooner than later (actually, I love it when people tell me I'm perfect. Sadly, I am now an adult and this never happens anymore. Where DID I put that time turner?)
Reviews will probably not be returned. Unfortunately, college has taken over my life, and my grades are more important than you. Don't take it too personally. Actually, you may thank my generally awesome parents, who are paying most of my ridiculous tuition bills, and who would probably disown me if I got anything lower than a B.
I'm going to summarize all my previous posts so I can take them down: 1.26.09. TSO won first place for Best Long Story on an award site (Time is running out awards) that no longer exists (oh well, thanks for voting). 2.10.09. Rewriting TSO is a bitch. I got into fiction writing. 3.19.09. I got a LiveJournal. Rewriting is still a bitch. 5.28.09. Fiction class was awesome, you should all take one and also read my summary, which, incidentally, I've stopped writing because I've now forgotten everything I learned in the class. Rewriting continues to be bitchy. 11.3.09. I have a Livejournal, but I forget the password, and nobody reads it anyway, so don't bother going there. Also, I kind of forget where I was going with the story. Life sucks.
The Sylvian Outlaws
Life at Castle Lyara is tough. Especially when you're forced to swap places with the resident princess and her former lover seems to be out for your blood.
Chapters written: 36.333333333333
Chapters beta-ed and posted: 36
Total length (estimated): Effing long.
Tales from Delmonica
Oneshots revolving around the lives and mishaps of members of the most ancient vampire family in Transylvania. Includes "Sanger" and "Artistic Melancholy" so far. To reduce confusion, I'd advise you to read them in that order. (Or don't read them. They're very old and silly.)
Thrall, The Other Girl, The Trials of the Cursed
These are so short as to make summaries pointless. As to whether or not I would read them, if you want a laugh read Trials of the Cursed, and if you want serious fiction read Visiting Ethiopia. Give the others a miss unless you are feeling particularly kind-hearted.
