My Poetic Blog of things True but Metaphore-ized
Life is Pretty Crazy. Pretty Pretty.
Just checked out of Hotel Vivanno
She told me the air was just fine
Looked up a number with orange-squeezed eyes
He said he had a pictograph memory
Only for numericals, though. Lucky ducky.
Backtracked over a mess and didn’t have to clean it up
She said she was surrounded with crazies
He said he’s seen the Thoms naked
I didn’t believe him
But I missed that silly boy by the stairs
Or a man, but we’d swapped hats
And that tickled my tummy
I took her for drinks and we’d kissed foreigners
The little girl with the smaller bum didn’t fall at all
Social normalcies? Naw, but a dancer’s frame
She said I fell to fast.
But I like that; rebound from Shade to
The sentinel of the break room
Then got his name and shook his hand (shoulda hugged)
The boy who shaved off his hat hair.
And I got a butt to be proud of.
I’m making tired music with my fingers
Deceptively composing; shoulda learned more.
Shoulda called in exhausted or slept on the job
Didn’t, and got one of those wierd awards
One of those praising, cute cards that make me feel good
Shouda made more music instead of nodding off
And I didn’t
And it all worked out fine.
