Good day traveler!
Welcome to Truemotopialand!
Here you will find a verity of stories ranging from horror, scifi, humor, adventure, and a bit of romance mixed within. I know I get to say a bit about my stories in their little summery, but I'd like to give a more detailed explanation here.
I'll start with my short stories.
Courage and Fear: Just a little snippet, hardly two pages long. I wrote it during a challenge of a short story a day. This one has a little symbolism in it. I also wanted to try my hand at a more traditional writing style. I am pleased with how it came out, and I invite you to take a look at it.
Deaths of Writers: As stated in the summary, my friend and I got together to write each others deaths. It is more of an inside joke, but it is fairly dark, and a little weird. We make jokes about each other throughout the piece. It's a little creepy, but you're welcome to take a look at it. It is fairly recent.
We Meet again: A crack piece my friend and I wrote really late at night. It pokes fun at all the action movies. The dumb attractive girl, the eeeeevil villain, and the good ol'boy hero. It is really cracked. What do you expect at three o'clock in the morning? It is also fairly recent.
The Goose and the Sandwhich: I wrote this quite a while ago, and really late at night. It is pretty cracked. Don't expect to make much sense of it.
Thirty Minute Stopwatch: Is a pretty old piece that I have not picked up again, and don't intend to for some time. I haven't figured out how to get the world to work, and the whole plot line. Don't expect it to be finished any time soon. As it is it's pretty, low on my priority list. I put it under short stories because at the moment it's just a few chapters long.
Next are stories that are too long to be short stories but too short to be a whole novel.
Leo: A complete work, but in need of revising. I started it a few years ago and my styles have developed and changed a bit since. It's not bad as a story, but it does need to be fleshed out. I wrote it while I was obsessed with the Wheel of Time. I can see R.J. style highly reflective in my writing, not that I come anywhere close to how good he is. I think it's about 79 pages or so.
Tony: Something I just started. I meant for it just to be a collection of short scenes, but it might turn out to be a story. It is three chapters long at the moment and fairly dark. I wanted to write a vampire, a real vampire. He is not a nice person, and doesn't see humans as something he can relate with. As a counterpart to this story, I want to write "Natalia", who is introduced in chapter two. These two stories will coincide with each other. They are both my friends characters, and she has given me their back stories. I will be very busy this semester, so I don't expect to get much writing done. But when I get the chance, I wish to work on this piece.
The Nature of Wishing Dust: I started this story fairly recently, for my grandmother. I have yet to complete it but I'll be posting a chapter every two weeks this semester. It is a really fun story, not nearly as dark as my other stuff. I researched some beast's in preparation for it. It has a bit of romance, adventure, and a lot of humor. I do want to complete it by next summer.
I also am working on some other longer pieces that I do not intend to post here because I want to publish them. One of them is at the moment 214 pages long, and is coming along well. It has taken up a lot of my creativity. I plan for it to be at least three of four books long. I am also writing notes for another series. I haven't started the first book yet, but will once I complete the 214 one. That ones about 2/3rds of the way finished. :P still got a bit to go.
I appreciate people reading my work, but I do LOVE a review. I know there are people out there reading my work. If you took the time to read it, it should not cost you much effort to say what you thought about it. And I do apologize if I snap at you. I am getting better and reigning in my mouth, honest!
and now have a look at my work.
