Info: coming to you in the future And I am lazy.
Run along to my FF.N bio page if you would like to read any fanfiction of mine. Also contains links to my livejournal, where I post absolutely everything I write. Currently, I do not have any works up here (and very soon there shall be one original story, written for a class last semester) so please don't mind the bleakness.
I had plans for posting original stories in their Rough Draft format on this site. I'm still going to do that, but now I'm going to be splitting them up, I think. At some point in the future, I'll be making another profile with the Anagram that I plan on publishing under. The majority of stories are likely to be done on that. We shall see if I decide to rename this one, or indeed keep them as separate locations.
Happy Holidays to anyone who happens across this!
I decided to make this new section for the stories I come across that are really, really good. There won't be that many to start with, but more Gems will be added as they're found.
This is a fabulous little story that I'm really not quite sure why I like it, I just know I do. It's a oneshot told from the PoV of an interesting character, Edwin. He's a Mortician's Son, and has lived above his mother's business his whole life. Understandably, he's grown up as an... odd kid. The story itself takes place in three times. First, when he's little. Second, in High School. And third, a glimpse into adulthood. From what I've gathered from it, it's a form of Coming-of-Age, where Edwin makes his first real friend-slash-boyfriend-slash-best-friend-slash-interesting-relationship.
It's very short, but still very wonderful, and surprisingly did not leave me wanting. Well, excluding that everyone generally wants a "What happens next" tale that never comes.
I found this through searching a GoodReads list for Mpreg stories. Those lists are seriously lacking in quality stories.
As far as this one goes, it was very much not lacking. The author put an interesting spin on male pregnancy (hence her "sort of") and, aside from that, made a BEAUTIFUL world with a religion that I, as someone very highly not religious, would love to be a part of.
And I still think she needs another story about the main characters... She's already shot my greedy little want down :( *poutville*
Cough* Anyway! Very good character development, from what I recall. She put a lot of thought into the actual world and her Alien species, customs and so on. She gives clear warning when there's something the reader may find tasteless, so that you could easily skip over that unpleasant bit (as I did).
Very much something I consider a Gem, and I'd love to see more flourishing ideas from her. Especially anything of a Sci-Fi, Space origin.
