Author has written 3 stories for Romance, and Sci-Fi.
Well, I'm back to FP. Again. The writing bug bit me again; I hope it won't just be a passing phase because I'm starting to get really excited about a few of the things I've got on the table. The Bang Bang rewrite isn't coming. Yet. I'm just not in the right place emotionally to tell that story right now. It's way deeper than I've got the time or inclination to be - it's a busy few months out in the real world. HOWEVER, the other things I'm working on are actually showing some sort of progress/inspiration. They're pretty lighthearted. No deep philosophical insight (not that I'm great at that anyway), but maybe a few small ideas to ponder. Plus just a lot of fluffiness. And I'm trying to make more of an effort to be non-ironically comical. Should things work out the way I'd like (and should college readings not totally take over my life), there should be some more new postings from me shortly.
Why "AwkwardSumbarine"?: Know the "awkward turtle" hand gesture? Well, it's kind of like that. Only a submarine. The "Awkward Submarine" came from a very insane car ride with my best friend. Needless to say, I got pretty attached to it. Also I have a strange and mysterious love of submarine movies.

WORK ON FICTION PRESS:
This idea started life as a long-form roleplay set in An Established Science Fiction Universe That Shall Not Be Named. It survives as an original character, a vague idea of a plot, and an opportunity to stretch some muscles.
Stumble (OLD - published, complete)
This actually started out as a sort of dare to myself; I wanted to see if I could write sexy. The identities and relationship of the characters (a Las Vegas PD cop ad a professional dominatrix/yoga teacher) came out of my "Hey, I should write a cheesy romance novel to try and pay for college!" Phase...which I have not totally moved beyond. The piece itself is a sort of experiment designed to stretch my limits as a writer. When I wrote it (which was actually several months ago) I meant it as an excerpt of a novel-length work. It may or may not be incorporated into something later. For now, I'm happy with the way it is now.
Bang Bang (OLD - published, discontinued)
Alba's story as I imagine it is very close to my heart. There's a lot of me in it - my feelings, my pains, my personality, my experiences. And maybe that's why it's turning out so hard for me to write it in a way that I'm happy with. The original Bang Bang was a priceless exercise in writing emotionally, but it got turned around and confused and I realized I wasn't telling the story I really wanted to. I will definitely be getting back to the story of Ally and Rylie and Mickey and all someday. I know it intimately, and I want to share it. I'm just working on the how.
WORKS IN PROGRESS:
[GONNA WRITE SOME ROMANCE]
Probably shorter scenarios that toy with explicitness. Emphasis on enthusiastic consent!
