Author has written 65 stories for Life, General, Politics, Friendship, Religion, Fantasy, War, Haiku, Family, Love, and School.

I'm a 29 year old Muslim revert (24 September 2010) from the USA. I got married in 2013 and, in February this year (2014) I moved to Bangladesh.I just had a baby on 18 December 2015 by emergency c-section. She is great. I love her so much. Even when she's fussy. I write less now since I do a blog about my journey and I'm also a teacher, but InSha'Allah I will still post here when I can. Feel free to visit http://www.facebook.com/amandamarielynn if you'd like to know me better. But this is my writing profile, so I'm just going to share about my writing with you.

My accent and vocabulary are a bit different compared to a lot of people. I've had 2 or 3 poems where people said the rhyme or syllables were a little awkward, but usually they work very well. And I promise that the few that seem weird really work in my accent.

I started a community at http://www.fictionpress.com/community/Muslim_Poets/3843/99/1/1/for Muslims to share their poetry. That being said, I would be thrilled if people from other religions were to share their poetry there too! It all fits the criteria as long as it's monotheistic and doesn't portray Islam, Muhammad (S.A.W.), the other Prophets (A.S.), or any of Muhammad (S.A.W.'s) companions (R.A.) in a negative manner. I've seen beautiful Jewish poetry that would fit the requirements for Islamic poetry as well as Christian poetry. The only type of Christian poetry I will not accept are poems which call Jesus (A.S.) as "lord" or anything more than a messenger of God. Overall, I'd just like to see more Muslims on FP. :-)

Feel free to private message me if you'd like to know anything else. Just don't email hate or suggestive things. I will block you if you do that.
