Hei boiz and girlz!! I'm J-cub and I love fiction writing. It's my greatest passion, my greatest escape from an otherwise inescapable world, and it's a gift and a passion that's been with me all of my life. I specialize in fiction though I don't mind taking a stab at nonfiction now and again. I excel in fantasy as it's easiest to work with and I pride myself in having a broad imagination. I also like science-fiction (I'm a huge STAR WARS guy...FON will back me up on that...), and I also enjoy taking a wack at historical fiction. I like taking in the simpler aspects of writing, the subtle beauties that make a great work what it is, because of the innocent grace it does upon the work. My greatest reference to that regard is SPIRITED AWAY, one of my favorite movies of all time, fraught with subtle, beautiful ideas that make it one of the greatest films ever. Personally, I don't think there's a better fantasy master alive today than Hayao Miyazaki. I love J.R.R. Tolkien's work, but he's in middle earth, forever to walk through Lothlorien, far away from here. Aside from my writing, I love film making; being able to capture my thoughts and ideas on tape and then convey them in an artistic fashion that relays whatever I want it to. I live out in the hicks on a mountain, but the desolation gives me plenty of time alone with my thoughts and ideas, and I rather prefer it to the busy, bustling city, but all at once, I like the influence of congestion, too. I live with my mom and dad with whom I've shared a very happy 15 years in my life, very quickly approaching 16, and I have two unfortunate siblings whose approval and acceptance I have long given up trying to achieve. I also have a golden retriever who I hold very dear to my heart. I attend Ferris High School in Spokane, WA and I'm doing many things in my next year, sophomore year, and I'm looking forward to my next great adventure. I'm very adventurous, ambitious, and hard-working, which is slightly unfortunate for me because it contributes to my relentlessness with my written work, taking it apart and rearranging it until it suits me. Those three qualities also make writer's-block, when it decides to come around extremely unfortunate and irritating. This is a very new thing to me, but I look forward to giving it a shot! It should be epic.
Bye everyone! R&R
