the weather forecast: a procrastinating perfectionist, self-proclaimed bookworm and cinephile, aspiring literature major

several years ago, i've been a bit obsessed with getting reviews, favorites, alerts, etc., so i ended up taking down all my flimsy stories, on the pretense that i wasn't "ready" yet. in actuality, i was very self-conscious about my creative writing. i frantically feared rejection and blindly sought praise.

however, over the summer of 2014, something snapped and hesitantly, i typed out the prologue to an idea that's been growing in my mind. and now, i can't stop.

though i'm not sure if i can consider myself "ready," i love writing, regardless of the praise or rejection i may face. it's such a therapeutic activity that i long to sit at my computer or go old-fashioned with a notebook and pen, and spin a world out my ideas.

rather than popularity, i'm really focused on growing as a writer, developing skills, and maintaining this momentum. i certainly don't plan on becoming a published author, but i definitely appreciate the art.
