Name: Vanessa by most, Ferret to be facetious

Sign: Aries

Gender: Female

Location: NYC

"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with strings. These are a few of my favorite things":

Colors: Blue, Yellow, Green, and Purple- in that order =)
Food: Stir-fried/Grilled/Barbecued/Fried Chicken, Chapati, Pepperoni Pizza, Kenyan Fries and Sausages, Samosas, Tilapia, Golden brown scrambled eggs (yum)...
Drink: Coco-pine juice, Ribena, Coca-Cola
Movies: The Sound of Music, The Mask, Ace Ventura, Arnold Schwarzenegger movies (they're terrible, but I love them), Little Manhattan, Aladdin, Anastasia, Beyonce (for the good old times)...
Music: My favorite songs change according to my mood (though I do have a set all-time list), so I'm going to just write a couple of genre's: Classic Rock, Genge, Bongo, Alternative Rock, and very few country/pop songs.

I didn't list books down because the list would just be too long.

My Dislikes:

Stereotypes, Standardized tests, Insects (a newly developed dislike, unfortunately), Spam, Over-pricing (unless I'm the one overpricing. Hypocritical? Yup.)

My life motto:

Live.

My favorite quotes:

"Many people hear voices when no one is there. Some of them are called mad and are shut up in rooms where they stare at the walls all day. Others are called writers and they do pretty much the same thing." - Meg Chittenden

"...a prankster would give you a wedgy by firmly grasping the back of your panties/tighty whities (this action has no gender prejudice, although it has the potential to be more painful for the male than female) and pulling up swiftly until said undergarment is firmly and uncomfortably seated in the crevice therein. Until one can then engage in the remedy (commonly known as "picking your seat") it is a bit unsettling. A more forceful application of the same movement will nearly destroy the garment and apply great pain to the wearer and is termed a "Melvin." I can only surmise that thong wearers have overcome the natural human aversion to the feeling of wedgyness. I haven't seen any definitive research on that, however..." - KareNeko

"Writing is a cop-out. An excuse to live perpetually in fantasy land, where you can create, direct and watch the products of your own head. Very selfish." - Monica Dickens

"It has arrived. The next generation of pregnancy test. It's designed breathtakingly simple. It's circuitry incredibly precise. Without a doubt, it is the most sophisticated piece of technology you will ever pee on." - Clear Blue Pregnancy Test

"Death is God's way of saying you're fired. Suicide is human’s way of saying you can't fire me, I quit."

"We will never accomplish the unthinkable if we think about it first."

"Eternity is beyond our comprehension, but love is the closest thing we have to it, because lvoe defies even the deepest grave."

"Depression is just anger without passion."

"To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West - know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist."-Barack Obama (Inauguration Speech)

"You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain." - Harvey Dent, The Dark Knight

"Some men just want to watch the world burn." Alfred Pennyworth, The Dark Knight

And my all-time fave; "The only dream worth having... is to dream that you will live while you're
alive and die only when you're dead... which means exactly what?'... To
love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get
used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of life around you.
To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never
simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect
strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never
look away. And never, never to forget." -- Arundhati Roy

Alright-y then. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, feel free to PM me. Or if you're just feeling bored. I'm also always willing to make new friends and talk to fellow fictionpress buddies. I hope you enjoy my work :)
