Survival of the Fittest:

Ara is a PI in a world where the occult is main stream and a select group of people have odd gifts and curses. Where people look on these people as if they were either gods or demons and others try and control them. Where some of the gifted do actually fall into the category of demons... She is a woman who is well acquainted with this world as she -is- one of the gifted... if you could truly call it gifted. She is now faced with the loss of her best friend the man who was her anchor in life. And as a sires of similar murders start to take place hinting at a serial killing of low level gifted she is drawn deeper into the case only to find her ex husband knee deep in it all.

There was something seriously wrong with the town of Pandora. And the fact that no one seemed to be willing to admit it, only just confirmed the young red haired girls belief as she sat in her high school cafeteria watching the antics of the other kids. It looked like any other caf in any other school with all the regular groupings and cliques, Jocks, geeks and everything else in between. And yet she knew it was all just a paint stroke over the truth. A pretty picture of normalcy with no real depth.
