Books I recommend: Anything by Tamora Pierce; The Abhorsen series; The Hobbit; Life of Pi; Maria V. Snyder's Poison Study series (Poison Study, Magic Study, Fire Study); The Good Earth; and Siddhartha.

A Couple Thoughts: Don't be afraid to be who you are, the most memorable people and characters are ones who stand out. Tell people you love them - friends, family, a significant other; you never know what can happen. Don't plan too far ahead, life is unpredictable and no one said you can't be unpredictable too.
