I write all the time, even without a pen, pencil, paper or laptop. In my head there's a constant story taking place. I think I have hyper imagination syndrome or something. I write about things I know little about. For example I've never been a member of the Yakuza, I haven't been a model or attended an All boy's school. But I do write all of my stories based of a little bit of truth. I have in fact defenestrated myself out of a window before, and been to an arts school.
I like to write for myself, but I love when other people read my work and can get something out of it. It's not a master piece. There are no metaphors, or personification to speak of. No vast symbols of world knowledge just a story plan and simple. Something for enjoyment the way reading should be.
Some of the stories I write will and forever be incomplete but I will try to limit those. Sometimes an idea gets stuck in my head and refuses to let go. When that happens I write it just to get it out of my system. And you all unfortunately have the chance to read the crap that I put out.
My characters are all based if not a little bit after myself. I would be a liar to say my characters hadn't all taken a piece of me but they have. Especially the newer ones like Alli and Robyn. Now for a character outline of my four favourite characters.
Age seventeen with her eighteenth birthday in December. She spent the better half of her years growing up in England with her mother and grandparents. She was ten when she moved to Abbotsford. British Columbia. Her full name is a secret she shares with no one. She believes it's not her secret to share but something between her mother and father. Her mother was only thirteen when Alli was born, the two of them growing up together making them not only mother and daughter but best friends.
Her best friend is a guy named Oliver Lane a twenty year old American Sign Language translator. He is also her sometimes lover, which puts a damper on her rocky relationship with Darien Lane Oliver's younger brother.
At age seventeen Robyn knows exactly what she wants from life. To be an actor. For the past three years she has been playing the part of a boy at the prestigious Washington's Art school for boys in Olympia, Washington. Originally from the small town of Abbotsford, she left her only female friend Alli to tackle high school by herself.
Her best friend is Darien Lane a half Japanese boy from Robyn's home town. He helps her in anyway he can to fulfill her dream and survive at the boy's school with as much of her femininity attached as possible.
Darien and Oliver Lane:
Oliver and Darien Lane are half brothers from the small town of Abbotsford, British Columbia. Both football players Darien finds it hard to live up to his brother's prestige in their home town. In a move to Olympia, Washington Darien manages to escape the shadow of his older brother and take care of his careless best friend Robyn. Oliver is left behind to control Alli Emerson his three year his junior best friend and lover. Both brothers have complicated relationships with Robyn and Alli. Mostly Alli as they both had been lovers to the girl. While Oliver and Robyn are a lot like brother and well, brother.
Both males manage to follow their best friends to the ends of the earth. Ignoring their love for them, they make sure that neither Robyn nor Alli will ever have to deal with a broken heart again.
