UPDATES:
October 13, 2017 - Blows dust off of profile. Well. Ummmmm. I guess it's been a while. Oops.
January 2, 2013 - I'M BACK!! Well, kind of. I want to start posting stories again but I had to get away for a while and work on some longer stuff that with any luck might actually get published someday. (A girl can hope, right?)
I've got a few one-shots in various forms of completion and I'll eventually be cleaning up the old, discontinued stories from my stories list. I will be posting the final chapters for Do You Want to Know a Secret and Run to Me. They're finished, and have been for years, I just got side-tracked, and a little fed up with the poor quality of stories on the site... Which is also a reason I've decided to start posting again.
I've got a few stories in the works. A multi-chapter high school cliche, because those are always fun. It's probably about 40 percent or so complete. Then there is my NaNoWriMo from 2012, it's nothing spectacular, so I might post it. I'm still undecided, and it still needs to be edited.
Okay, so after my happy news I'm going to go back to writing!
September 20, 2010 - I'm trying to get back in the habit of posting a new chapter of Do You Want to Know A Secret every Saturday, but I haven't been doing a very good job. Oh well. Don't forget to vote for your favorite Beatles song!!
June 16, 2010 - I finished writing Run to Me today. I honestly can't believe I wrote an entire story in only two days. Granted, it's not very long, just shy of 7,000 words, but it still amazes me. I wasn't really sure where the plot was going, but now that it's done, the plot worked out quite well. I know I'll end up going back and adding here and there, but the general plot is there. Now I can focus on the editing and the other details that need to be tweaked.
Summaries and/or Background on my Stories:
A Question of Trust

Do You Have a Staring Problem, or is it Just Me?
I felt like such a nerd writing this piece, probably because it's based off of parts of my life. It was fun writing nonsensical things that popped into my head. This is another story with a basketball game as a main feature. I told you I was obsessed. Basically a girl has a crush on a guy, the guy seems to be always watching her, checking up on her, and she decides to confront him. It's probably my most humorous story I've posted, just because of all the random thoughts the main character has.
Do You Want to Know a Secret?
I wrote nearly all of this story in about a week. I didn't have an agenda and I just let the plot take me where it needed to go. A few of my favorite things are in this story; good music (The Beatles), a fall in love with your best friend cliche, a cute boy who plays basketball and just enough drama. Some of the chapters are rushed, and short in detail and explanation. I apologize in advance, but it's a cute story, and will be updated every Saturday. I'm not really sure where the inspiration came from, but it was a lot of fun to write. I absolutely love the characters and I might write a companion story from Kaden's point of view, depending on the response I get.
Got to Get You into My Life
Random story, could be made into a two-shot. Not the best I've ever written, just randomness and a dark park, a girl with a crazy imagination and a boy who likes to drop textbooks. Not a lot of details, but I like it anyway.
Idiot Proof
This is more a side project than anything else. I have no plot lines and I probably won't have one. It's kind of a whatever happens happens story. The basic idea is to use quotes to make up a story. There will be one quote at the start of the chapter and it will somehow have to relate to something that happens in that chapter. From the summary you can probably figure out that Brooke is going to fall for one of the brothers, and that's all I'm going to give away right now. I do have a direction for the story, but there are a million different paths to take, all depending on the quotes I find. (Discontinued)
Run to Me
Another new story. I know, I need to finish the ones I have started, but that's not any fun. So, this story was supposed to be a rewrite of Stay With Me. I never really liked the story and I felt it needed more to it, and this story is what happened. The plot line has changed slightly, but I think it's better. Basically Allison runs to Austin and they both fight their feelings for each other. Allison is in an abusive relationship of some kind and when things get too bad she runs to Austin and stays with him.
This story will stay on the short side, probably five or so chapters, less than 10,000 words, I hope. Currently being written so no set updating time, so just keep checking back.
Stay With Me
This very short story was written for the contest on the Flash Me Suddenly website. If you're up to the challenge go check out the site and try out the next challenge. Basically a girl has some issues and she goes to a boy, but the same old thing keeps happening and she keeps running away. HUGE thanks to Artume for all of her help! (Go read some of her stuff!!) I'm currently re-writing and expanding this story. The original rules were the story had to be under 1,000 words, and I just feel like there are too many unanswered questions, so I hope to have an expanded version posted soon.
Ten Cent Pens
This was my first attempt at writing a One-Shot, and I'm actually really happy with the result. Basically girl meets boy, girl hates boy, girl threatens boy, girl falls in love with boy. Thrown in some random text messages, a devious best friend and some strawberry pineapple smoothies and you have Ten Cent Pens.
Ten Cent Pens REDUX
So, yes, it's a rewrite, and I think that might be vaguely illegal on this site, but I don't care. I tried to polish a few details and fix a slightly gaping plot hole. This version is about two hundred words longer, but I'm not sure how that happened, because I didn't think I added that much. Anyway, check out the rewrite and see which one you like better.
The Name of the Game
Not my best work, just something I found on my computer. I don't know if I'll ever edit it and give the characters more depth, but I just wanted to post it because I kept coming across it. Basically a boy and a girl who knew each other in grade school are reunited again when they are both playing silly games in Walmart. You really shouldn't read it, it's not that good, but it's quirky, so that's something.
Throwing It All Away
Annalee loves Lane and Lane loves Annalee, so why is she marrying Nathan?
People make sacrifices all the time for love, but this is a different story. Annalee knows she will never fall in love with Nathan, but she also knows that she has to marry him. Annalee lives a lonely life until a chance business partnership between her husband and her long lost love. Annalee never expected to feel so drawn to Lane, it had been four years since they had seen each other, but it was all still there. She still loved him, but there was nothing she could do.
Annalee goes behind Nathan's back to see Lane and eventually uncovers a secret that Nathan has kept from her since they had married. Once the secret is out in the open everything changes for Annalee and she's not sure if she can pull her life together again. (Discontinued.)
You Say Basketball, I Say Shut Up and Kiss Me
This was kind of a spur of the moment story, it obviously isn't as great as Ten Cent Pens, but I just watched a basketball game and the team was celebrating their conference victory and I just wondered what it would be like if there was some romance thrown in the mix. Secretly I wish my life could be like this. I have an unhealthy obsession with boys who play basketball. This is also an attempt at writing a story with no dialogue. I think it worked pretty well. This is now a two-shot, but it needs some editing, so stay tuned for that.
Upcoming Stories
Do You Want to Know a Secret? (Formerly: All You Need is Love) I have this story completely written out, I'm just going through and editing it. I've been on a Beatles kick, so I used Beatles songs as an intro to each chapter. I'm personally proud of myself for actually finishing a multi-chapter story.
Summary: Katelyn, with the help of her twin brother Kaden and their best friend Jared, sets out to match the entire senior class up with their soul mates. The project starts running amuck when personal life interferes with all of Katelyn's plans. The three friends all end up in different places and Katelyn realizes too late she's fallen for her best friend, but he pushed her away first.
Status: Complete 17,000 words. Currently being posted.
The Check List A not so simple one-shot centering around a check list Hannah finds in Curtis' backpack.
Summary: Study for COMM 4620, check. Grocery Shopping, check. Test on Saturday (Don't FORGET!!), check. Study group, check. Presentation, check. Tell Hannah I love her...
Status: Incomplete. 55 to 60 percent. (Currently ON HOLD, sorry)
Playing the Player Another one-shot. And yes, I am addicted to them. I couldn't ever write them because I got so attached to my characters, but now they're easier to write than actual chapter stories. Anyway... As with most of my one-shots I try to accomplish a certain writing trait. This one is to write from a boy's point of view. (Eeek, this is hard, especially since the boy is a total player and I don't understand that mind set at all.)
Summary: Everyone wants Carson Anderson, and Carson Anderson will take just about about girl, he just can't seem to figure out one. Hope Bakers. As the school's resident playboy he thought he knew every trick in the book, well, Carson, Hope's about to show you a thing or two.
Status: Incomplete. 70 percent. (Writer's Block has hit, story currently ON HOLD)
This should go without saying, but don't steal any of my ideas or stories. It's rude and pathetic. Although I like to write for fun, I like sharing my stories and getting feedback, by stealing an original work you not only hurt the author, but you hurt the community(ie FictionPress). You are taking credit for something you copied and pasted. Despite whatever it is you believe, changing a few names and other minor details does not make it your story. I have put countless hours into my writing and I don't appreciate being ripped off/cheated/undermined or anything else. So read, enjoy, tell everyone about the great story you found, and give each writer the credit they deserve for writing such an amazing work.
Recommendations:
If you want to read something I didn't write I highly recommend View from the Top. It's a one-shot that has two of my favorite things, a cute basketball player and understated romance. (It's under Favorite Stories, so check it out.)
