Author has written 12 stories for Romance, Love, and Life.

Hey all, I'm just a college student who likes to write in her free time. I'm actually a nursing major and have no plans to change that, so the fact that I write so much is rather odd. I'm not that accomplished, or really all that talented as a writer, but I do appreciate feedback. Any comments, good or bad, are welcomed (but tact is appreciated). I read a lot in my free time as well, which I think is part of the reason I've always loved to write. I know the power of words and how the simplest phrase can change a life. I know it has happened to me. I write mostly romantic young adult fiction, but it varies. Thanks for reading! Feel free to PM me anytime!

I've gotten a few PMs about why in my stories the parents hate that the couple is together. Excellent question. I don't really have an answer. Many people liked "Maybe" and wanted that story line to continue, but I didn't have anything else to add to Ben and Candace. They were never supposed to go beyond the one shot. However, I started with the same premise with Carson and Alayna in "Permanent," and found they're personalities to fit the situation much better (and much easier to wirte). Therefore, like Ben and Candace, Carson and Alayna have known each other from younger ages and their parents disapprove of their relationship. However, unlike Ben and Candace, Carson and Alayna have always acknowledged their feelings for one another, and have fought to distance themselves from their parents. Ben holds onto his childhood a bit more than Carson, who would willingly piss off his parents to get what he wants. Also, Alayna is a bit more reserved than Candace, but makes up for it in the bravery department. While Candace cowers from Ben's mother, Alayna just tries her best to keep the peace, but confronts the issues with their parents fairly head-on. Although Carson's parents don't know all the details of their relationship, she never tried to hide it either.

Does that make any sense? I'm hoping that this clears up a few questions and you can see that although there are parallels, they are very different characters at the end of the day.
