Uhm... shit. This is a lot of blank space. I miss all those little individual boxes where I can tell you about my favorite movies and TV shows and favorite anime/manga authors and favorite names for pets and favorite episode of Doogie Houser, MD. I think what I shall do in their stead is to actually apply some original thought to this profile of myself in the hopes that it'll give you more than a cursory glance at character-limited lists of my personal heroes and favored varieties of cheeses. Though for all those who are curious, please see the Appendix for additional information.

Music more or less defines my life to an extent. I respond very extremely to music, I have loved it ever since I got into that bizarre genre of New Millenium alt. rock. Since then however, I have grown backwards temporally, favoring largely bands from before I was born or could listen to most music. Another common feature of my favorite bands are that many of the lead singers seem to have commited suicide, broken up with the rest of the bend, or run off into hiding to extreme shyness. Okay, that last one was just Jeff Mangum from Neutral Milk Hotel, but I hear Darby Crash was a painfully shy soul without his drugs and alcohol, despite a reputation as the brash frontman of the Germs. I like guitars and novel folksy instruments. Some of my favorite music has been described as "Baroque Pop". A good deal more of it has been described as shitty punk, quite often by most of my friends. I dig passion no matter what I listen to. I like Nirvana, the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, the Decemberists, Neutral Milk Hotel and the Germs, of course, NOFX, the Beatles, the Offspring, Operation Ivy, the Circle Jerks, and many more bands that I'm not thinking of right now because I get into different bands at different times.

Back in the day I used to be into System of a Down, Godsmack, Drowning Pool, and Slayer, for whom, in particular, I still harbor a metal'y soft spot. I don't really listen to those other bands anymore.

I like to try to make my own music. I like listening to Rockabilly and folk. I can't play very well, I like to experiment with sounds, chords, and harmonies. I like it when nobody else is home so I can sing loudly. I have a temper but you probably wouldn't think it unless you got to know me. I don't let down my guard so easily.

I dig writing and reading. I read classic literature, poetry, and other random shit that catches my fancy. ...I'll update more later.
