Author has written 26 stories for Nature, Romance, Life, General, Love, Friendship, Family, and Politics.

Hello everyone! I go by Perisada here (on fanfiction my penname is Lahiwe, if you want to look me up there). Both are names taken from some of my favorite female characters from stories. Lahiwe's an awesome chick from an African fairy tale called Baboon Skins, adapted by Terry Berger; Perisada is a complete badass from The Arabian Nights. But that's enough about names. I just recently rediscovered my account here; I made it when I was in middle school. Now I'm older (won't say how much older, but it's been some years) and I decided to visit here again.

Though I write obsessive amounts of fanfiction, I'm not very good at writing original stories. My characters too often end up becoming Mary Sues. I prefer to analyze the ins and outs and what-makes-them-ticks of already existing characters, as I do with people, but I suppose even all that observation hasn't been able to make me able to access my own characters. It's not enough just to make up a story; the story has to just sort of flow out of you. However, I do love poetry from all places and time periods. If I listed all of my favorite poets here, you'd probably get bored and scroll down, so if you want to talk about that, just PM me! I will say that much of my inspiration comes from the mystic poet Rumi. His poetry is such a joy to read--I hope you check it out! And I hope that my poems bring you as much joy as his do to me.

Recently, I have also been reading both a black poetry anthology titled "The Negritude Poets" and a comprehensive poetry anthology titled "World Poetry: An Anthology of Verse from Antiquity to Our Time" that have afforded me with vast amounts of inspiration, as well as a trove of thrillingly beautiful work. I recommend both books to any aspiring poets.

A little about me:

I love reading. I love speaking. I love words in all their different forms. I love colors and shapes. I love flowers and the sky. I love rain and I love wind. I love tea and lemonade. I love people. I love peace. I love learning about other cultures. I love saying what's on my mind. I love reflecting about nature and life. I love mirrors and boxes and hardwood floors. I love dancing. I love music. I love listening to people talk about what they're passionate about. I love changing things for the better. I love pantheism. I love space. And I love life!

Making people happy makes me happy, so if I like your story, I'll be sure to write in depth, encouraging reviews--no flames!!! And please check out the authors and stories in my Favorites section--I think they're all really wonderful authors who deserve recognition and reviews :)
