Write about what you know, and if you can't do that, know what you write. -Unknown

Just like every other author here on this site, I am in desperate need of approval from my peers. To those of you who have confused looks on your faces, it translates as: reviews. And kudos to those of you who are smiling and laughing, you recognize your own faults.

Just don't plagiarize

I am finally updating this...lets take some time to gasp... that should be enough time. I'm a junior, and taking college writing (CW), so some of my better stuff from that class will be on here.

I love country music, and Christian, but lots of country. Almost all my friends and my family hate it, so I'm by myself there sigh haha, so if you hate country, you're crazy, and and have never really considered the impact it could have on your life! And some of those songs, hmmmm, they break my heart (no really, Concrete Angels makes me cry every time I hear it)

In the summer of 2010, I went to Jamaica on a mission trip. It changed my life. I fell so in love with the land, the culture and the people. Especially the people. There is one person in particular that touched my heart. There is a poem about him down below. Take some time to read it before you finish the rest of this part... This little boy looked like he had been beaten. He was not born disabled. He had a large scar on the top of his head. He couldn't speak. Compared to others he lived with, he was lucky to be able to walk and know what he wanted. But his legs were bent, they were probably broken and never healed correctly. The saddest part of all of this was that the people in Jamaica throw out the disabled like they are garbage, left to fend for themselves. I'm not asking for anything from my readers, just a prayer. Some of you may be offended by that, but hey, its a free country. And you can make that choice.

And here are the updates on my stories:

Facing the Music: Its starting to grow on me, so you guys just might get to the end...eventually. My writing is sporadic at best, and I apologize for making you guys wait...if there is anybody waiting for me still. Right now, I am changing the entire story around, so you might not recognize it. I didn't like how it was going, so I am working on making it more realistic. I know it rambles on a bit, and sometimes might not make sense until you read it again, but I think thats how this story is going to be.

Robyn Hood: This is my baby. I promise the end, but same as before, my writing is sporadic. I have everything as it should be though, so all I need to do is write new chapters. One thing everyone should know is that I'm never satisfied with what I've written. In a month I could rewrite the entire thing. But its always better, so hakuna matata.

To Be, or Not To Be: I randomly started writing this in spanish class because I was bored. You might never see another chapter again. I am sorry. But who knows? I might be struck with ideas again this coming school year...dont get your hopes up though.

Stuck With Family: This was originally something for a contest, and I never finished it. I dont really know if I will finish it. I'm thinking about taking it off the site completely though...so yeah.

A Winter Battle: CW poem

Little John: CW poem, though slightly more special to me than just that. This is about a disabled boy in Jamaica. I went on a mission trip there in the summer of 2010. He was a boy that especially touched my heart.

Dance in the Rain: A song, complete with music! Sadly, you can't hear the music. I changed it a bit so I could turn it in as a project, so it doesn't flow it as well as it used to. I don't have time to revise it again right now. An original, and one of the firsts.

Heart of Gold: Another song, I think this was my first. It does have music, and I am absolutely in love with it still, even after all these years. I really hope you like it too.

Knowledge: Inspired by the Whiskey Lullabye. Its a sad but great song, look it up.

In My Books: CW poem. What can I say? I've always loved reading, I always will.

Need to Breathe: CW poem. Complete metaphor, let me know if you get it :).

Those Lost: CW poem. Written when I was in middle school. I wanted people to think. Hope this makes you think.
