Author has written 8 stories for Mystery. Wow... I didn't even realize that I haven't put anything here. First, I'll pose some background info about me. As of 2011 I'm 24, fresh out of college with a four year computer science degree from the University of Houston... so I know how to program stuff. Writing is strictly a hobby for me. I also like basketball, played it a lot as a kid but I still follow the Houston Rockets on TV even now (if your curious as to why there are a lot of references to basketball in the stories, that's why). I'm really into mysteries. Both reading and watching. I tend to stay away from the really gory shows and books though. And finally... I like games. I was into Magic:The Gathering throughout highschool (yes... I was one of THOSE people), when poker started becoming a fad a few years ago I was just turning 18 and I played a lot of tournaments back then. And then obviously you have video games... although not in the way you would think. I'm not playing Halo or (insert latest video game) for 18 hours a day... but I've played the classics. I was a part of the Nintendo generation... so Super Mario, Donkey Kong, a lot of Zelda games. In fact... that's actually where my "pen name" comes from. Two of the biggest games in the late 90s were Super Smash Bros and GoldenEye 007. The internet was getting bigger and bigger, so everyone was putting "agent" and "007" at the end of their names. My favorite character on Super Smash Bros was Kirby so... put all that together and you get agentkirb. So let's recap: Games, Programing, Basketball, Mysteries and Writing. I'm probably one of 10 people in the world that claims those five hobbies to be their favorite. I'll talk briefly about the series that I have posted (as briefly as I can). I like writing in first person, and the main character is someone that I can relate to (we share a lot of things in common). Considering my background is more technical writing than fiction, my stories tend to have a "ramble-y" feel to it. But I think that can work for a mystery series. I'll leave the detailed scene description to the fantasy writers (not that there is anything wrong with that, it just isn't what I like to do). I don't know how many stories I'm going to post on this website, but I think it would be a safe bet to say that my style won't change that drastically so what you see now will be very similar to what I'll post in the future (with the exception of maybe an improvement in the technical quality of the stories... like better plots and such). Anyways... that's all I can think of for now. Feel free to enjoy my stuff. |
