Hi. :) *smiles and waves*
Welcome to the profile of Lady Scarlet of Stormhold!! Unfortunately, I do not really own the title of Lady, nor do I really live in Stormhold. My name isn't Scarlet either, which is not at all unfortunate despite it being a pretty name, as it wouldn't suit me at all, so thank God my mum changed her mind on that one!
This is what you need to know about me:
I am a teenage girl who lives here. Right here. Or sometimes over there.
You may call me by my penname, or a shortened version of my penname, unless you know me in which case you may call me by my real name, unless you're creepy, in which case you can go away and not call me anything. :)
I am a Sherlockian and a Whovian and a sort of part-time Potterhead. I am attempting to catch up on listening to Welcome To Nightvale, but when I have time, I always forget. I am also a member of the fandom of Kristin Cashore's Seven Kingdoms trilogy, but I don't think it has a name, and it really, REALLY needs to be a bigger fandom. :(
I love books. Graceling, Fire and Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore are my favourites. Other favourites include The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky, Reckless and Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke and many others.
I love music. I mostly listen to country or folk and symphonic metal (strange combination, I know). My favourite bands at the moment are Within Temptation and Nightwish, but there are many, many other bands I like - expanding my taste in music is one of my hobbies. :)
I'm lazy and very good at procrastinating, a skill which I'm likely exhibiting right at this very moment.
You may think I'm slightly weird. Some people do... :P
I may not say a huge amount aloud to other people (although certainly loads more than I used to), but I can say an awful lot the moment you give me a laptop or a pen and paper or a typewriter.
Oh, and I have a really bad memory. And I'm a grammar geek.
I have a fanfiction account, which is Lady Sherlock Bell of Monsea. I also now have two blogs! Hand here is the link to the writing blog I share with a friend of mine.
My New Stories
Shattered I wrote some more slightly depressed poetry and decided I'd put it with the old depressed poetry instead of listing it as something new. Hopefully it's better than the old depressed poetry. :)
My Old Stories
I won't be updating any of these stories at all ever again, they are going nowhere but I figure I may as well leave them for the fun of it, because I figure nobody would want to steal them or anything (seriously? some of them? terrible) so they're not really doing anybody any harm.
Also I have removed two of my stories: The Children Of The Forgotten and From Heaven To Hell. Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed them etc, you're awesome. :) I am currently rewriting/am still planning to rewrite the basic ideas behind both stories.
In the meantime, here is a list of my remaining stories:
The Shadowess (The unfinished sequel to From Heaven To Hell. If I ever write a sequel to whatever becomes of what was once From Heaven To Hell, then that sequel will not be this.)
Dear Friend, Dear Nobody(A longer story which I abandoned and so shall stay unfinished. You have been warned. Make up your own ending if you must.)
The Curse(A longer story that I began as part of a friendly contest. I did start the final chapter, but I've left it too long to finish now, because although I can remember one thing that was going to happen, I don't remember any of the rest, so that's an ending that is doomed to incompleteness forevermore)
Shattered(Some poetry I wrote at a point in my life - my early teens - when I wasn't very happy with life in general, and not exactly the most confident person in the world, to say the least)
The Moonlight Hours(A short-ish story. It might be finished, it might not be. I can't actually remember.)
In The Light Of The Dying Sun (A short story I wrote a good few years ago)
A Very Random Story With Some Unknown Title (I think you can guess this wasn't a very serious project. It doesn't have a huge amount of plotline and is incredibly random - and also unfinished.)
The Bird (The first story I uploaded on FictionPress when I was thirteen, it was not planned out, has no storyline and is very terrible. So bad that even the title is bad.)
