Author has written 5 stories for Play, Kids, Historical, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy.

Hello, all! I am Richard Scott, which is the pen-name I plan to use professionally.

I am male, 22 years old, and I am currently a college student with less money than I'd like. Textbooks are expensive. ;)

I've been an avid reader my entire life, but within the last few years I've also seriously turned to writing. As I get better, I get more and more ideas for standalone novels and series, some of which I will be posting here while I work on them.

My main story right now is:

Wanderlust: A series about a man, born in Iceland, who has lived for over a thousand years. The series is told through flashbacks, with 'Mr. Ericson' narrating his long, adventure-filled life to Jason Marks, a young man who discovers his secret.

Volume 1: A Norseman in Vinland: Bjorn Thorvaldsson grows up a Viking, spending his early years in Iceland and Erik the Red's colony in Greenland. When Erik's son Leif eventually decides to sail west to see what's there, Bjorn eagerly asks to go with him. He is so taken with Vinland that he returns with each subsequent expedition, and it is on one of these he discovers himself to be immortal. This volume is inspired by the Icelandic epics of the Norse discovery of North America, on which I am basing the plot. I am currently doing research and preparing the outline for this volume, though I have at least three more planned to cover the millennium of Bjorn's life.

I have several other ideas in various stages of development, so this section will be updated as I get my other projects more organized.

My current posted stories are all assignments from a recent creative writing class I had, as a preview of my writing style while I work on my novel. I will probably periodically post a short story or two as they come to me. I'm always writing something, and my ideas don't like to stay in only one genre. This has and will produce some very interesting tales, as you will hopefully agree.

Happy writing to you!
