Author has written 17 stories for Love, Humor, Essay, Nature, Politics, and Fantasy. I love words, I live for words, and their beauty is surpassed, in my mind, only by the beauty of my wonderful girlfriend (on here, SarahMerriman). This love has resulted in what will likely be a lifelong endeavour to improve my relationship with them, and what better place than fictionpress? 1/1/2010 Though I flirt often with the short story, and capaciously with novels of the fantasy genre, my true love will always be poetry, however abysmally my own may end up. For this reason, Sarah and I have challenged each other, for the new year, to write a poem every week for a year, with the end result being 52 poems (of varying quality might I add. It is strange to search for inspiration rather than just bump into it every now and then.). These poems will be seperated according to their genre, and will only be known to be part of the 52 by the small number by the title or in the authors note. Constructive criticism will be needed on these, or mine, at least, as Sarah seems to be much better at this than me (though I have her trumped in reading in every genre) and would be graciously accepted. And remember, chances are I'll read your stories if I see your username in my email or by my reviews (due to laziness. I don't want to search for stories when I've books all around, after all). These will begin appearing every sunday. 1/20/2011 This year, after having burned out, Sarah and I have made a resolution NOT to write so many poems in a row that we burn out. Hopefully this will be a more fruitful year in poetry. Well, it's been a year since we started (and failed at completing) the poem a week project, and I am just now beginning to feel the urge to write again. I do not know how some people write so much without burning out. Books recently finished: Pendragon 1-10, Metamorphosis, Picture of Dorian Grey, Gulliver's Travels, Aesop's Fables, Essential works of Edgar Allen Poe, Inferno, Alcatraz vs. The Knights of Crystallia (Brandon Sanderson is God of Literature), Essential Writings of Ralph Waldo Emmerson , The Law of Nines, The Gathering Storm (Wheel of Time #12) re-read. Currently reading: Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson (so far his best book ever. Which makes it THE best book ever...) My Personal Favourites In The 52 so far: 1. To You, A Candle Cannot be Held #9 5. A Review #4 |
