Each of my poems, just like any other piece of writing, came from some inspiration at the time i was writing it.
Rather it be my friends, my emotions, or life in general.
So i hope you guys can understand it :)

Here is one of my most favorite poems:
By Edgar Allan Poe
From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then - in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life - was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that round me rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.
And here are some quotes i love that i found in Cassandra Clare's Clockwork Angel:
(found in Chapter 12)
"I dare not always touch her, lest the kiss
Leave my lips charred. Yea, Lord, a little bliss,
Brief bitter bliss, one hath for a great sin;
Nathless thou knowest how sweet a thing it is."
-Algernon Charles Swinburne, "Laus Veneris"
(found in Chapter 15)
"Ah God, that love were as a flower or flame,
That life were as the naming of a name,
That death were not more pitiful than desire,
That these things were not one thing and the same!"
-Algernon Charles Swinburne, "Laus Veneris"
(found in Chapter 20)
"Yet each man kills the thing he loves,
By each let this be heard,
Some do it with a bitter look,
Some with a flattering word,
The coward does it with a kiss,
The brave man with a sword!"
-Oscar Wilde, "The Ballad of Reading Gaol"
These are quotes from Cassandra Clare's sequel to Clockwork Angel, The Clockwork Prince:
"Friendship is one mind in two bodies"
"The human heart has hidden treasures,
In the secret kept, in silence sealed;
The thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures,
Whose charms were broken if revealed."
-Charlotte Bronte, "Evening Solace"
"Fierce midnights and famishing morrows,
And the loves that complete and control
All the joys of the flesh, all the sorrows
That wear out the soul."
-Algernon Charles Swinburne, "Dolores"
"The virtue of angels is that they connot deteriorate;
their flaw is that they cannot improve. Man's
flaw is that he can deteriorate; and his virtue is
that he can improve."
"Take my share of a fickle heart,
Mine of a paltry love:
Take it or leave it as you will,
I wash my hands thereof."
-Christina Rosetti, "Maude Clare"
"Come to me in my dreams, and then
By day I shall be well again.
For then the night will more than pay
The hopeless longing of the day."
-Matthew Arnold, "Longing"
"My whole life long I learn'd to love.
This hour my utmost art I prove
And speak my passion-heaven or hell?
She will not give me heaven? 'Tis well!"
-Robert Browning, "One Way of Love"
"O brother, the gods were good to you.
Sleep, and be glad while the world endures.
Be well content as the years wear through;
Give thanks for life, and the loves and lures;
Give thanks for life, O brother, and death,
For the sweet last sound of her feet, her breath,
For gift she gave you, gracious and few,
Tears, and kisses, that lady of yours."
-Alernon Charles Swinburne, "The Triumph of Time"
"And dont forget, It will get better."
"Don't Start Anything You Can't Finish"
"Be true to yourself before anyone else"
"Live Laugh Learn"
"Giving up doesnt always mean you are weak,
Sometimes it just means you're strong enough to let go"
"Stand for what is right even if you stand alone"
