Author has written 14 stories for General, Mythology, Supernatural, Horror, General, and Fantasy.

So, I am OsakaBomb. My real name is Alex, though. To be basic, I enjoy writing immensely. I used to mostly post my writings on SheezyArt and DeviantArt, but I've grown a little tired of those places. So, I decided to join this place. I live in the United States, specifically in the state of Minnesota. I'm currently 23 years old. My birthday is February 27th.

Favorite muscians: I have way too many to list, but particular favorites are System Of A Down, Radiohead, Muse, Flogging Molly and The Pixies.

Favorite films: The same pretty much goes for this as well. I have a list of about 36 favorite films, which is constantly growing. But If I had to pick a top 5, it would be...Battle Royale, A Tale Of Two Sisters (or "Janghwa, Hongryeon"), LINDA LINDA LINDA, The Brothers Bloom and Noriko's Dinner Table.

Favorite books: I'll just list another top 5: Crossfire by Miyuki Miyabe, Paper Towns by John Green, The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands by Stephen King, Kamikaze Girls (or Shimotsuma Monogatari) by Novala Takemoto and Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist.

Favorite anime: Dennou Coil, Boogiepop Phantom, Gunslinger Girl, Haibane Renmei, Kino's Journey, Paranoia Agent, Mushishi.

I've been writing for most of my life, but I don't think I started writing stories for fun/outside of school assignments until I was 15 or so. It started with creative writing projects in grade school. They'd do things like hand us a single picture with one sentence (a novel/short story excerpt) and we had to write our own short story based around the image and the single excerpt had to be worked into the story. At first, I only wanted to write horror stories. I eventually decided to try more..not strictly horror, but still strange or unusual stories. I still like to focus on that style, but I like trying other genres, too. I feel that I'm pretty good at writing stories. At least, better than I was several years ago. But, I still feel I can improve a lot. But I enjoy writing them just the same.

Anything and everything inspires me to write stories. Listening to music, watching movies, reading other stories/novels, daily activities, etc. Music is probably the major factor in what gives me ideas for stories. Admittedly, I have a problem buckling down and spending several hours writing. This is a problem I have yet to fix. Anyway, I think that's enough of an introduction!

Edit: I thought of something to add. I figured I should talk about who inspires me as a writer. My inspiration to write stories actually comes from filmmakers. While I do want to try other genres every now and then, I primarily want to focus on horror. My main inspiration comes from a lot of Japanese horror filmmakers. The biggest one is probably Takashi Shimizu. He has directed films like Ju-On, tomie: Replay, Marebito and Reincarnation. They are all very fine films. Another would be Hideo Nakata, the director of Ringu and Dark Water. Actual authors that inspire me to write would be..Stephen King, Shan Sa, Miyuki Miyabe, and Neil Gaiman.

But, when it comes to horror inspiration, anything that is really scary in new and inventive ways. Another inspiration comes from a horror manga artist, Junji Ito. I highly recommend his work if you want a good horror manga. Many of his works have been released in English. His series "Tomie" is probably my favorite of his works that are available in English. My second favorite would be "Uzumaki."

The Lies I Try to Tell With My Own Eyes
A short drabble I wrote about two characters of mine, Rylan and Lara. This isn't canon for them at all. I was just curious about this scenario. Sorry it's not a major story! I'll try to post something major soon. So, yes. This was an experiment, of sorts.
