![]() Author has written 7 stories for Young Adult, and Romance. Hi, I'm Rookiewriter...not Cookiewriter. Although, if any of you were ever attacked by a giant chocolate chip cookie, I'd stuff it inside my mouth to protect you--no need to thank me--that's just the kind of friend I am! Anyway, a friend of mine pointed out that you want to know about me, not my philosophies about life and relationships. Let's see... I like to cook and bake (and I have an AMAZING chocolate chip cookie recipe) I like running (but not too much at a time) I like lifting weights (but not too heavy-just pursuing the elusive perfect abs, thighs, and glutes) I love reading I love writing I play piano (and have a side-job playing for a children's choir) I sing I studied biology, microbiology, hematology, and chemistry (I know--I should have focused on English and creative writing, but my family said that wasn't practical) I love children I've always enjoyed being around men. I had tons more male friends growing up than female friends-but my few female friends were awesome. I have curly brunette hair and green eyes like my avatar. I like skiing I hate swimming, not the actual activity--just the part where I get in a bathing suit and show some skin I'm critical of my body I know how to sew clothes, but I only do it to make great Halloween costumes I do lots of volunteer work in my community I love looking at pictures of gorgeous houses and perusing interior decorating books I plan vacations that I'll probably never takeHere's a favorite quote of mine: "Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.”--Alfred Tennyson, In Memoriam My favorite food is: Pasta with any kind of tomato-based sauce. (That's why I have to run and lift weights) My favorite pastime: Aside from writing, I like to watch men. (Not like a stalker) I watch them getting their hair cut when I'm in the salon, I watch construction workers when I'm waiting outside for something else, I watch them trying to choose food in the grocery store (They're not very skilled at this), I watch them driving by in their vehicles while I'm at stoplights, I watch them playing outdoor sports while I'm running, I watch them doing yard work (also while I'm running, which is another incentive for me to get out and run); you get the picture. I love my family, the neighborhood I live in, and my friends. I also have plenty of my own problems to deal with. Guess what? Everybody's eating some kind of crap sandwich. I constantly remind myself that everybody has personal heartaches, and so I need to be as kind as I can to each person I meet. I hope some of you can escape from your troubles while you read my stories. I hope you enjoy them. Sooo, that's a little bit about me. Here's an update! I had requests from some of my readers for the ability to get my stories in real books. So, I put my favorites up on Amazon. You can find some under the author name Marne Duvall and some under the author name C.F. Hayward. Hugs, Rookiewriter70 |
