Dwight Harrow is a patchwork man, made from corpses by the Nazis during WWII. After breaking free in the war, he becomes an occult detective to the stars in the Freewheeling Fifties, in a haunted Hollywood where ghouls and glamour mix with Crime Noir.

In 1917 Arkansas, a young girl named Amelia Porter recorded strange events that led to the untimely death of her entire family. Her diary is the only evidence in the matter.
