Hello people of Earth and aliens of beyond! I'm a teenager who loves to read and write! I'm in the gifted class at school, averaging A's in all subjects (in fact, in 2011 I got straight A's for the year), and love helping others. I'm a spelling/grammar freak, and love finding mistakes in books (does anyone else have that obsession?). Everything I do, I do the best I can (I'm a perfectionist, by the way). Also, I have a slight obsession with commas. Please check out my website! Leave a comment! So guess what? I'm not perfect. I don't score 100% on all of my tests. I make about 100 mistakes every day. I suffer from bad-hair days. I don't see things that are right in front of me. I don't always have a tidy room, and I get yelled at almost daily. But you know what? I don't want to be perfect. In fact, there's really no such thing as perfect. Everything has a flaw. I'd much rather be imperfect. Unique. But at the end of the day, imperfect is really just I'm perfect. I'm perfect in my own special way. Little Bits About Me... As you know, I'm a teenager, about halfway through High School. My name is not actually Maddy, but it's what I go by most of the time. I'm Aussie and proud! (No, we do not live in huts in the desert or ride kangaroos!) I love my friends and family. Do NOT mess with them! I'm quite academic. I'm in the gifted class, average straight A's, and have even won a few academic awards. I'm obsessed with correct spelling and grammar. If I see something not right, I feel a need to change it. Sadly, I'm not a great typist, so mistakes do find their way into my work, even with spell-check. I'm also referred to as a "walking dictionary" and a "walking thesaurus". I love words! Don't judge! :P I love to read and write! I'm always happy to chat, so send me a PM if you want to talk! And again, I have a slight obsession with commas. Don't ask why, I just do. Oh, and I cannot STAND it when I get called a geek, nerd, dweeb etc. Just because I'm in the Gifted Class, because I get straight A's, or because I might have a higher IQ than some, does not make me a nerd. Look up the words in the dictionary! And then think twice before you call someone a nerd or geek. Just letting everyone know that it's all a huge stereotype, and a pretty incorrect one too, if you ask me. Favourites Colour: Aqua Animal: Elephant Punctuation Mark (Odd thing to have a favourite of, I know): Interrobang Music: No specific songs or bands, but I love Pop music. I'm also a fan of good Rock/Classical style songs Books: No specific titles or authors, but I love a good Fantasy book. Adventure, Sci-Fi, Romance, Mystery... they're all good too Subject: I love English, but I enjoy Japanese and Science as well. Maths, I also do not mind. Not-so-favourites I can't STAND it when people don't use their brains. It just really irks me. Seriously, it's not that hard to use your brain, so do it! Whether or not it's because I am required to use mine at a higher level on a regular basis, who knows? But seriously, if you want to talk to me or review one of my stories, please say something at least remotely intelligent. My Writing I love to read and write! I can practically inhale books, but when it comes to writing, my imagination lacks and I can't think of anything. I love to do it, whether it's an essay or report for school, or a story of my own, I love it! I have an account on FictionFiction as well, which I've published a few stories on. Now, seeing as my imagination is basically non-existent, if anyone has an idea for a story (FanFiction or original), PM me and I'll see if I want to write it. Just remember that it may not turn out the way you want it, but if I do it, I promise to do my best. Ideas can range from some lyrics, a poem, a challenge, be a full-on summary or anything else, really, so long as can get an idea from it :P Note: If you read one of my fics and want to review it, go ahead, I'd love you to! I accept all sorts of reviews, constructive cricism being a personal favourite, so don't be scared to point something out or suggest something to me. If you just want to say you enjoyed it, that's also great, but maybe (you don't have to) say what you liked about it. I DO take flames, but if you're going to flame it, at least say something intelligent. Leave a signed review so I can contact you about it as well. Basically, if you don't like my writing, don't read it, it's that simple, and I won't mind. I've received a few flames by people who didn't think, as it turned out, they had no valid point. Sadly, they did not leave signed reviews, and I was not able to tell them why they were so obviously wrong. So yeah, flames=signed review, and valid points please.
