Hello and welcome to my fictionpress! I'm so glad you stumbled across it! I've been writing stories ever since I was six, beginning with a two chapter Spongebob fanfiction. I've come a long way from there.

My interests include: History, fashion, art, silent films, art noveau, Gibson girls, writing, and far more.

Check out my goodreads account here: https:///user/show/65012932-johanna-barker

Current Acting Roles:

Eliza Doolittle- Pygmalion

Margaret/Meg-Much Ado About Nothing

Cosette-Les Miserables

Johanna-Sweeney Todd

Philia-A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

I write a variety of different stories including romance, history, and supernatural tales. I do attempt to make my stories as accurate as possible and research lore as well as flesh out my characters and their respective time periods.

I'm currently majoring in musical theatre! My dream is to be cast as Cosette in Les Miserables [I have, as of June, been cast as Cosette!] or Meg in Phantom of the Opera.

Enjoy!

NOW COMPLETED:

Withered Roses- Her name was Petula Parker. She had eyes like the forest moss and hair like warm cherries. She was a lost child, desperate for love, but too strong to ever succumb to the pleasant prospect of death. Her name was Petula Parker and she needed to be loved. [A historical fiction narrative, set in a biographical style, about a woman and her struggles as paranormal investigator in the 1920s.]

Sanguinarian-Waking up in Vegas should not include the most hideous of bite marks on a fair neck. It only gets worse from there as Isabelle delves into the world of the undead in the lively Las Vegas. [Set in the 1970s, this narrative delves into the world of vampires and one vampire's obsession with a young woman, pure of heart.]

Now Playing:

Quartered-Her hands were not a lady's hand. But her hands were gentle enough to caress his face and her lips soft enough to kiss him upon the lips. It all started on a cold night, on the eve of the Revolution, between an innkeeper's girl and a haughty Redcoat-torn from two different threads and sewn together by the same forbidden passions. [A historical romance.]

Coming Soon:

Death and the Maiden-A Victorian retelling of Persephone and Hades, complete with drama, romance, and angst.

An American Crime-A private investigator. A victim. A housewife. Las Vegas. It's the 40s and anything goes. [A pulp styled story.]
