Author has written 8 stories for Biography, and General.
Half way into my two decades working in animation, I have discovered storytelling. Until then, I had never considered myself a writer before. Surprisingly, there are little bits of my personality that surfaces. While I am finding out how to be a better narrator, I would like to thank those who critique and review my writing here and in person, I've received thus far. I started out writing fan fiction for TV shows. My FF pen name is loneguppy. http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1183445/ Continuing to work in animation has allowed me many opportunities to hone my skills. Some day, the next thing that gets produce will be mine. One can only hope. THE EXPERIMENT: Since I can visualize what I write, I am asking readers to describe visually what they can from my future fiction. HIGHLIGHTS: A Dutch Summer in Toronto My first original piece is autobiographical. It's from a childhood memory. An interesting encounter with other children. (I will have more to share since working so near the homes from my early years has stir some cobwebs of those innocent times.) Shanghai Interlude: Revisited My first stab at original fiction had a weak plot. The realism in the setting came from memories of our China home life going back to the 1970s, so I had a lot to draw from. As I became stuck in writing my second story, the helpful suggestions on how to improve this story was put to use when I reworked it in March 2013. Sticking close to the title the second time, I have made the story a true interlude. The Living Bride Returns A multiple character piece. I am very stuck on this going forward. Having figured out how to integrate myself into the first story, I hope to do the same here. Especially since, there is even more incentive to proceed now. (I finally have an idea how to keep this story going.) |
