Let me tell you guys a story.

Once upon a time, a girl had her heart horribly broken. She was treated badly and told lies, and she promised herself that she would never fall in love again. She hid behind love stories of survivors magically found and healed by amazing people, and she loved them. She lived vicariously through the characters she made and told herself that she didn't need a real relationship because the characters in her head gave her what she needed. She worked nights at a pizza joint in her hometown, and she wrote in her spare time. She thought she was happy. One night, close to closing time, a boy walked into the restaurant she waitressed at. He sat down, and even though she wanted to go home, she took him a menu and waited on him.

It was instantaneous. That shoot-for-the-stars, can't eat, can't sleep feeling. It suddenly didn't matter that her heart had been broken. It didn't matter that he was the exact opposite of what she needed or that she'd never been looking in the first place because when you know, you know, and she knew. She had no regrets about what felt like the instant connection they'd had besides the fact that it had taken so long for him to find her.

She gave up her writing because for the first time in her life, she was happy. She didn't need to hide behind stories because her life had become very much like a story she had written, and she was in love. This boy told her the things she needed to hear and made her believe that she was beautiful again after she had become convinced that she wasn't. He told her he wanted to marry her, and he meant every word.

This is my story, guys.

I don't know if I'll come back onto Fictionpress again. I hate to say that I won't because I love all of you. I love editing for other people and writing and making everyone happy with what I write. I like to think that one day, once everything's been settled and I'm back into a routine, I'll come back to finish these stories. I'll give you all the endings you want and deserve, but for right now, I can't.

If you want closure, PM me. I'll tell you what happens in whatever story you want to hear.

Thank you so, so much for being the support group I needed and the friends I have always wanted. I love all of you so much. I'll see you soon.
