Author has written 2 stories for General, and Humor.

Well hello there!

My name is Miss Katrina. I am a recent university graduate and aspiring author. A few years back, I had an account on Fanfiction.net that was quite popular, but now as I am done with Fanfiction and moving into my own original characters, I decided to try out FictionPress.

Here you will find, for the time being, short stories that I have published over the years, and perhaps a few chaptered stories. I am currently working on my first novel, but I don't expect I will be posting it here. I care too much about it to risk having it stolen or copied. If you want to know more about this story, you can find updates and some exceprts on www.respeculate.blogspot.com. Warning: it is a novel with GLB primary characters, so if you are not comfortable with that sort of material (it's non-explicit, probably rated T), I advise you to avoid it. Having said that, my goal with this story is to make it accessible to everyone, so by all means if you prepare to go into it with an open mind, go for it.

I write in several different genres depending on my mood. These include:

- Humour (especially satire and social commentary related)

- Speculative (semi post-apocalyptic (the idea of the deteriorating society), the superhero gone wrong)

- Drama (the gritty side of reality)

- Postmodern themes, as well as some existentialism and nihilism

That being said, I always enjoy constructive criticism (key word constructive), so whether you hated it loved it, leave a comment on my work!! :) I was a Fine Arts student so I am quite used to being torn apart.

The Unspectacular Adventures of PoMo Girl
Sometimes I think I'm crazy. Then I begin to wonder if anyone else ever thinks the same, and whether we all walk around pretending to be sane individuals while secretly harbouring a paralyzing fear that with one slip we may end up in straight jackets.

Downpour
I used to look forward to rainy days. I had pink rain boots with flowers on them, and I would stomp around outside in them, splashing in puddles and crushing worms. I didn’t care about getting wet. It didn’t matter if it ruined my hair.
