Author has written 2 stories for Fantasy.

August 22, 2010

Heyo, folks! As of the time of this writing, I am pretty much brand new to FictionPress, so forgive me if I'm a little slow about how to use this, that, or the other interesting and probably supremely spectacular feature on the site. I also probably haven't uploaded much, if any, of my writing.

So a little about me. I'm a singer/musician/writer/artist/actress from somewhere out in the boonies of the American east coast. I've probably dabbled at least a little in most any art form you can name, with the possible exception of dancing (which is more because of a lack of opportunity than a lack of will). My pen name is an Italian word meaning "in the style of Gypsy music" and is occasionally spelled with a C in it--"Zingaresca". I have a soft spot for fantasy, but have been known to fall for any kind of story involving complex characters and an intricate plot line. I also don't mind admitting that I'm a bit of a sucker for well-written romance. If I had to choose a favorite sciency discipline it would be mathematics, my favorite color is all of the above, and I don't like carbonated beverages. I do, however, have a healthy appreciation for deep-fried dill pickles, nutella, and pumpkin ice cream--not together.

Let's see... what else is a good thing to put in a profile... I joined FictionPress in the hopes of finding a beta reader and serializing the latest in a string of massive projects--a fantasy novel I'm tentatively dubbing "Locrian's Song", which takes place in a (surprise!) musically-inspired world. I originally intended it to be a manga, but in the end got frustrated with what to me seemed like an incredibly slow, painstaking method of telling a story. Locrian's Song is not published yet and probably won't be for awhile--I'd rather be writing a few chapters ahead of where I'm posting at any given time.

Thanks for checking out my bio, and happy writing!

There are some things they don't tell you about Tunnel City. Things that you only discover when you try to escape. I guess you could say that if we were still on our mother planet, then I’d describe this prison as hell on earth.

Humans did not really fascinate him. That is, until a particular one possessed a talent that triggered something the ruler of the underworld was not supposed to feel. Hell, he was not even supposed to feel anything at all. R/R
