Author has written 1 story for Biography.

I want to first say that my goal here is not for fame or glory. I write because there is no other way, I have found, to express my deepest feelings - via poetry, essays or whatever. A few of my first entries will be copied from my blog - - but I will be posting my short stories on here soon.

My life revolves around a single goal. Serving the King. Christianity is often stereotyped with such phrases as: Anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-established government, anti-muslim, and in many cases, anti-love. And the fact about those stereotypes is sadly, they are true. However, true followers of Jesus Christ are the farthest from all of those stereotypes. Often I don't even call myself a Christian for the very reason of being scorned without even the opportunity to explain myself.

See, as Christians we are to embody the kingdom, and embrace the communicable attributes of God. That is to say, we should live as though we are in the Kingdom of the most high God, as well as take hold of and show the attributes Jesus showed us while he walked this earth.

I love gay people, I love pro-lifers, I love muslims, and while I may not agree with the standards the government is setting, I obey and respect it because it is the authority God placed on this particular piece of rock (Romans 12-13)

I don't agree with many things Christians do for the very fact that it is the opposite of what my savior preached.

My goal is to preach the same Gospel that Jesus Christ preached. And in that, I may anger or offend people, but I am doing the best thing I know how with the mind and power that my God has given me.

Now to my writings. Many of the poems I write are simple love poems, or haiku about nature, but some of them are very deep, dark, salvific poems. My goal in my poetry is to try to reach the deepest part of the reader, you. My essays are about a variety of topics, but most land in the Christian Living area. I often try to critique the modern Christian life and look for ways to improve it with sound Biblical application. That said, I am the farthest thing from perfect, and my critiques are for this writer as well as anyone else reading. I do not want readers to think I am a stuck up writer, because I really am one of the worst Christians around, but I am a work in progress, and I know my God is working in my life to perfect me to the day of Glorification. My essays however will not be found here. Maybe a few will be posted, but if you are interested in reading them you can go to and there you can find all your heart desires.

My greatest influences are (To make a list): Edgar Allan Poe, TS Eliot, George Orwell, Clive Cussler, Aldous Huxley, James Joyce, John Updike, Jack Kerouac, EE Cummings, and many, many others. I often write my poetry is a "kerouacian or cummingsesque" style (yes I made up those words) so forgive the randomness, but I like the way it draws eyes around the page.

Disclaimer: Things I write may be offensive, or sometimes downright degrading, but I write them because I am truly expressing how I feel about the topic, character, or emotion, I am talking about. I am not bringing dishonor to God by doing so, in fact I think it'd be more honoring to express my full potential in my writings both negatively and positively; secularly and religiously. So in that aspect, I apologize in advance for anything you may be offended by, but know that my deepest concern is purely for all to know the love of Christ.

Any fictional short stories or any other writings on here are purely of my own imagination or a compilation of different ideas through discussions with friends.

I truly hope you can be blessed through my writings and please feel free to message, comment, or even email me!

Thank muchly,

Kirby
