Hey. I'm Sora no Kioku. Just call me Sora. I'm 19 years of age and I'm going into my first year of college in January. I've been writing since about sixth grade and have been trying to become better at writing all together. I'm quite the Grammar Nazi as well. Just ask my mom. I correct her all the time. I do my own writing and my own proofreading, but sometimes, I don't even proofread myself because I'm a tad too lazy. I might go lookin' for a beta, but that's unlikely.
I like to write a lot of gay romance because I, for one, am homosexual and proud of it. Other than romance, I like action, fantasy, adventure, sci-fi, and other exciting types of things. I usually like to mix in quite a few genres in one when creating a multi-chapter story. After all, I find the typical high school romance novel quite boring. Why not throw in a few supernatural powers, explosive battles, shaky friendships, betrayals, deaths, unexpected plot twists, and so on to shake it up a bit? I know some might not agree with me, but that's just how I like it. I typically like the modern day setting, but with a twist of fantasy. AKA, giving them abilities no human can have.
As far as interests go, I have quite a lot. I'm a large anime and manga fan; always have been. But none of that Naruto stuff. I can hardly watch that. I'm more into Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Kuroshitsuji, Junjou Romantica, Loveless, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Wolf's Rain, Petshop of Horrors, No.6, and so on. However, don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those people who will go "OMG, u dun like anime? Die". I don't care if you like it or not. You like what you like. Simple as that. Also, just thought I might add in here, I'm actually learning Japanese right now. I'm getting better at understanding a lot of phrases and even saying quite a few. I can start a basic conversation and introduce myself, as well as say a few lines that I probably will never use. ("I really love the both of you" being one of them.) But despite learning Japanese, I won't be speaking it in my normal everyday conversation. Only when someone asks me to say something in Japanese will I say something.
Moving on, I'm quite the nerd. I love video games. I play a lot of Assassin's Creed, DDR, Project Diva, some Halo, Kameo, Need for Speed: Carbon, Forsaken World (MMORPG), Final Fantasy (only have played 12 and 13 so far. Working on getting the others), Tales of the Abyss, and a few others I can't think of right now. (I used to be an avid Kingdom Hearts fan as well.) So yeah. Lots of video games for me. With how much stuff that involves me sitting on my ass, it's surprising how skinny I stay. [/chuckles] Finally, one of the things I love doing is singing. I love a lot of VOCALOID songs, so I sing along to those often.
As for how I got into writing, I have been writing since sixth grade, as I've stated before. I did a lot of simple things and I have to admit, my grammar was not that great at all. I hate looking back at my old stuff. My past friend introduced my to a website called GaiaOnline and then introduced my to roleplaying. I started to roleplay on the forums a lot more after I got surgery on my leg in seventh grade. For 8 weeks, I was unable to do much of anything, so I spent a lot of the time just writing and roleplaying. I did a lot of group roleplays, but then in freshman to sophomore year (I think), I got more into onexones with a friend. Then back in my junior year, I created a roleplay about experiments called The Beast Within. It was the first roleplay I've ever created a "tsundere" character in. I gravitated back towards group roleplays and my writing style changed drastically. Now, I can't even write without putting a large extent of description within each paragraph.
That's all I can think of right now. Have any questions? Just ask. I don't bite!
