Update: Victory!! The Underground Saga is posting. Admitedly the first couple of chapters aren't that good, but that'll change. The Underground Saga is a very fast paced story. In fact, once it gets going, you may want to go back and reread what happened to make sure you don't forget anything important.
A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.
As she walked along under the tall elm trees, she asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her.
When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.
The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to cry. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station.
She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed.
The officer thanked her for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. She was curious as to why he had not attacked her.
When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her."
You're never alone...

The Underground Saga as it stands.
Welcome to Underground Trilogy: In Progress
This series's primary purpose is to introduce the readers to the heroes, the Underground, the elements and the 3,000-year War. This series centers on Cevin's earliest adventures, most notably the tales of the chosen one's journey to Corack, Cevin's ordeal with the Longdrake clan and Cevin and Andy's quest to save Ava from captivity. Throughout it all, Cevin will be forced to mature at an excellerated rate if he and his friends are going to survive.
Book One: Quest to The Core: Completed
Cevin, Andy, Ava, Tahir and Richard- the chosen ones -must fight their way through a dragon, a sea monster and a robot army on their journey to the land of Corack. With help from the noble Governor Willy, these kids will face these ordeals with a growing sense that adventure may not be all it's cracked up to be.
Book Two: Deception: In Progress
Cevin has been separated from his friends and tossed into the army of King Devios Sneakay Longdrake the 10th. Under the tutelage of Devios's generals, Cevin gains knowledge and power beyond his years, but a battle with his arch-rival, a warrior in blue armor, will yield a terrifying surprise that will change the whole course of his life.
Book Three: Pyramid Rescue: Coming Soon
Cevin has finally arrived where he belongs, but his six months spent with the Longdrake clan have left a terrible mark on both his body and his reputation. But when Cevin receives information revealing Ava's location, he and Andy must mount a rescue without revealing their agenda to the other generals.
The Virus Trilogy: Coming Eventually
Detailing the near disaster of the Virus incident, this series explores the nature of the queen's other enemies, particularly Emperor Hamar Ruford. This series broadens to view all of the chosen ones as they fight an army of countless robots, aid the Duraseek against a rebel uprising sponsored by a mysterious source and are nearly overrun from within by the malicious Virus.
Ava and the Dragon's Eye (Eva y El Ojo Del Dragon): Completed
I wrote this story for Spanish class. A one-shot look at Ava's relationship with the Dragon's Eye before she came to the Underground.
Dimensions Collide: (Number of parts: unknown): On Hiatus Indefinately
A crossover between worlds, this story deals with a time about a hundred years in the Underground's future (not too long after the defeat of Emperor Hamar) when the Earth was experiencing a time/space stability crisis. Beginning with a rush to grab an Orb of Darkness from a parallel realm, this story quickly becomes more complicated when a group of self-declared interuniversal peace-keepers rush into the mix and the source of the inconvenient portal that tossed the Orb into the Underground becomes known. For my characters, this story centers on Tahir and Michal as the primary heroes, Starland as the villian turned anti-hero and Sorcerer Tumar as the secretive dictator on the rise. Also features Lucia and Antaro as the primary heroes from Spectrum, Greth as the anti-hero also from Spectrum, and C.G., X and Phantom as the odd but powerful trio from the Starry Syndicate series. Warning: this story may never be finished because the writer of the Spectrum series eventually got tired and stopped updating. Having said that, there is a good chance this story may be rebooted soon with a different writer (and universe) to replace the Spectrum content of the story. If so, the story will be continued. If not... the indefinite hiatus will remain indefinite.
Extra Celestial: In Progress
Another crossover between the Underground Saga and the Starry Syndicate series. This time, all of my writing partner's main characters (C.G., Phillidelphia, Gallade, Starry, Nova and Iosis) are stranded in the Aboveground, seeking to return to their world. But the Guard Union Against Foreign Threats is very suspicious of them and would like nothing better than for the Starry Syndicate to simply die out. Now G.U.A.F.T. has hired the Syndicate to fight an Underground smuggling organization, hoping the two sides will wipe each other out. Unbeknownst to any of them, though, an alien race, the Alestral, are preparing to launch a campaign to enslave the entire planet via mind control, and the Starry Syndicate now stands as earth's only hope against the extra-terrestrial invaders.
Universal Mystery: Coming Soon
The latest crossover between the Underground Saga and Starry Syndicate series. The 3,000-year war is over! After a long and hard campaign, both Tumar and Devios have been defeated at last. Yet peace proves elusive, because in Wogar, Metramon refuses to surrender. The big businesses in Newtrail are now working overtime illegally selling weapons to help Metramon stay in the war (and keep the Atlantian economy, and the entire Royal Atlantian Republic by extension, under their control). Tahir, Cevin and Andy are on the trail of one of these businesses, but their reputations have encouraged the dealers to be extremely cautious and my heroes are running out of leads. If only an obscure but powerful group of friends could take over the investigation for them. And then who should fall through a dimensional portal but Gallade, Phillidelphia and C.G.? Now the Syndicate has a new mission: find the traitor and the Undergrounders will help you get home. Simple right? But when the Dark Lord learns that several of the Syndicate members have returned, their job gets a whole lot more complicated. My friend and I just started this, so it'll be a little while before I start posting it. And yes, it will have spoilers, but not as many as Dimensions Collide did.
Spoiler Alert: These Bios are here to help you better understand the characters in my story, The Underground Saga. However if you read too many of them, you may learn about characters you haven't read about. I suggest you make certain not to read a Bio that was posted after a chapter you haven't read yet.

Posted after Chapter One: Before the Begining
Age: 10. Religion: Baptist Christian. Character: Reckless Leader. Physical Features: White Skin, Curly Blond Hair, Thin. Favorite Subject: Math. Least Favorite Subject: Writing. Best Friends: (1)Ava (2) Tahir, (3) Andy. Secrets: Crush on Ava.
Cevin Crawg is the (almost) undisputed leader of the five. He is a Baptist Christian in the sense that his parents trained him as a Baptist Christian, however he hasn't accepted Jesus as his savior yet and his understanding of how Christianity works is tainted by Cosmic Humanist beliefs. Cevin dreams of adventure and would jump at the chance to have it. But would he really be happier if he had an adventure? Also, he doesn't understand the concept of anit-Christian worldviews.
Tahir L. Muhammad

Posted after Chapter Two: Atlantis
Age: 10. Religion: Muslim. Character: Strong Silent Type. Physical Features: Brown Skin, Dark Curly Short Hair, Thin, Barest Hint Of A Mustache. Favorite Subject: Math. Least Favorite Subject: Gym. Best Friend: Cevin. Secrets: Feels unimportant, useless.
Tahir Muhammad is Cevin's best friend. He is a moderate Muslim, even more so seemings he doesn't understand the concept of anti-Muslim worldviews. He hates talking to anyone other than Cevin, because he feels like every time he opens his mouth he says something stupid. With Cevin, though, it's different. Cevin talks to everyone and doesn't critisize anyone for things they say or do. Even so, while he loves having Cevin as his best friend, he often feels unimportant, as though he's trapped in Cevin's shadow.
Ava R. Martinez

Posted after Chapter Three: Huricen
Age: 10. Religion: Catholic Christian. Character: Somewhat Fearful But Very Dedicated. Physical Features: Brown skin, Dark Curly Long Hair, Thin. Favorite Subject: Art. Least Favorite Subject: Math. Best Friend: Cevin. Secrets: Has a crush on Cevin, and is carrying a special neckless that no one but her and her mother know about (more to come on that note).
Ava is the only girl that Cevin, in his young age, has ever had feelings for. She is also the only girl among the chosen ones. She is (naturally) very pretty, kind, and dedicated to her friends. Whenever people need leadership they turn to Cevin, but whenever they need compassion they come to Ava. She is a devout catholic, though naturally her friends don't know that. For her, being catholic is part of a family tradition, and believing anything outside of the catholic faith would bring shame upon her family. Even so, that is not to say she hasn't been saved; she has. Her faith is in Jesus, his death and ressurection, and she lives for him. But, like most of the five, it has never occured to her that her closest friends might not share her beliefs.

Posted after Chapter Four: Dragon
Age: 10. Religion: Secular Humanist. Character: Cocky, Jokester, Often Irritating. Physical Features: White Chinese-like Skin, Blond Straight Hair, Fat (And Proud Of It). Favorite Subject: Vocabulary. Least Favorite Subject: Gym. Best Friend: Cevin. Secrets: none (or at least none worth noting).
Andy is oftentimes one of the hardest people to like in the five. Although very optimistic, his corny jokes and big vocabulary have been known to drive his friends insane at times. As if that's not enough, he often siezes the opportunity to make fun of the others especially Cevin and Ava. It's quite obvious in the way he acts that he would rather be a leader than a follower. However, he has never tried to take Cevin's place as the leader. Quite the opposite; despite his cocky attitude he is very protective of his friends and their positions. And although he's a corny tease, he has a big heart. Although he is an atheist, he's still young enough to believe in absolute morality, and he despises seeing other people break his moral code.

Posted after Chapter Five: The Great Waterfall
Age: 10. Religion: Postmodernist. Character: Bitter, Cowardly, Hates Being Left Behind. Physical Features: White Skin, Dark Straight Hair, Fat. Favorite Subject: Science (Ironically). Least Favorite Subject: Art. Best Friend: none. Secrets: desires adventure. That doesn't sound like much of a secret until you remember that he claims not to like adventure.
Richard wasn't always a doom-and-gloom-guy. At one time he was as adventurous and courageous as the rest of the five. But his parents were Marxist-Leninists. They moved to a communist country to experience utopia. The results were not pleasant. On their arduous journey back to the USA, they read the works of Friedrich Nietzsche, an atheist who believed that when man "kills God" he signs his own death certificate unless he makes himself God by shaping reality to match his desires; everything is relative to a person's own desires. They had started teaching their new view of hopelessness to Richard before he left. Moral absolutes are in short supply for him, but he hates being left behind, and deep down inside he still has an insatiable desire for adventure. Unlike the rest of the five, he has figured out that his friends don't share his views; he just doesn't know how to tell them that he is different from them and them from each other in this respect.

Age: 2,789. Religion: Atlantian Christian. Character: Bold, Adventurous. Physical Features: White Skin, Dark Straight Hair, Thin. Greatest Strength: Marksmanship. Greatest Weakness: Calculation. Best Friend: Prof. Caylodius Nyn. Secrets: no real secrets; just some things he thinks that the kids should find out themselves.
Life in the Underground is immensely drawn out (aging process slowed by a factor of 100!). Governor Willy remembers the start of the war very well, but he only had the body of a baby at the time, and thereby couldn't do much. When he was old enough, he joined the war effort. He eventually got promoted by the King himself to be the Governor of all Huricen and the highest commander of the war effort outside the Core. It's not an easy job, trying to maintain order in the everyday life of Huricen and command the army in Wogar. When the kids arrived he was long overdue to visit 523-SM706. Nonetheless, Willy is a determined governor who knows his morals and fights for justice no matter how hard things get.

Age: 1,467. Religion: Atlantian Christian. Character: Inteligent, Kind, Calm. Species: Experimented Labrador Descendent. Physical Features: Brown Fur, Thin. Greatest Strength: Scientific/Forflexet/Mystic knowlegde. Greatest Weakness: Marksmanship. Best Friend: Governor Willy. Secrets: none that I have come up with for him yet.
Professor Nyn is, in many ways, the opposite of his friend, Governor Willy. Whereas the governor is a fighter who has little to do with calculations, the professor is a techno-geek who hates being near the action. Nonetheless, they are very good friends, and Governor Willy owes him more than he can pay. Whenever the governor goes out to the warfront, Professor Nyn does his best to maintain order in Huricen until he returns. Professor Nyn is not as good at it as his friend, but normally the governor manages to return before anything really bad happens. His past is a total mystery, but it's not because he doesn't talk about it; rather, it's because no one has ever thought to ask about it. Does he have any secrets? No one knows, but everyone seems to be in agreement that someone as supportive as Prof. Caylodius Nyn couldn't possibly have anything to hide... right?

At one time an honest archeologist, the life of Calseam Shunnar took a dark turn when he made a shocking discovery in some ancient texts, a reference to a vast civilization of immense technological advancements that was destroyed by a flood, and alongside it there was a gold key-like object. Shunnar investigated this document further, and discovered the truth of the Atlantian civilation. Atlantis had, in a time before recorded history, been a name for the earth itself, and the text referenced it as being split into two major sections: the Aboveground and the Underground. The more Shunnar learned of the Atlantians and the power hidden in their culture, the more he craved to go to Underground and claim such power for himself. He saw an opportunity through the prophecy. Should he help fulfill it, he might be able to get into the Underground with the chosen ones. He worked long and hard to gain the necessary artifacts through lieing, stealing, and cheating. His movements were done with such percision that had he actually gotten into the Underground, he could have been a very successful, evil man in his search for power.

Age: 7,489. Religion: Robotic Christian. Character: Depressed Leader. Model: Pency. Physical Features: Silvery-grey With Small Spots Of What Was Once Yellow Paint. Greatest Strength: Built-In Klolosone Cannon. Greatest Weakness: Tired Of War. Best Friend: none. Secrets: none that he remembers.
523-SM706's life before the 3,000-year War is mostly a mystery, even to himself. As a robot, he was sometimes allowed to help with classified matters so long as he erased his memory afterwards. 523-SM706 respects authority, and if he was told to erase his memory by a higher authority, he would do so. 523-SM706 has served in many wars, the 3,000-year War simply being the most recent. He knows better than most that this war is simply an extention of a conflict that has been in progress since long before he was made. He doesn't know what the original cause of the conflict was, but he does know that 3,000 years is technically a big understatement. 523-SM706 is a Robotic Christian not an Atlantian Christian: this means that he does what he thinks is right, but he doesn't think he can go to heaven because he is an artificial life form. It is very pessimistic, but he also knows all the horrors caused by robots who accept Robotic Satanism and he refuses to become one of them.

Age: Unknown even by her (she lost track somewhere around 11,000). Religion: Hopeless Shadow. Character: Hothead But With A Good Heart. Species: Dragon. Physical Features: Large, Pink/Red Scales, Red Eyes. Greatest Strength: Fire Breath. Greatest Weakness: Recklessness. Best Friend: none, they're all dead. Secrets: none, at least none she considers as such.
Dederex's earliest memories are of being with the harpies. She doesn't know what happened to her parents, but the harpy tribe that had found her treated her like family, albeit like the pet of the family, but family nonetheless. When the 3,000-year War started, the harpies jumped at the chance to try and throw off all government. Dederex never really approved of why they were fighting, but the harpies were her family and she refused to let them down. But in time, the harpies were whittled down to nothing. If any survived, they went into hiding. Dederex went into a deep and terrible rage after that and she vowed revenge for the destruction of her family even though she knew they had brought it upon themselves. But when the kids and Governor Willy caught her and forced her to help them, Dederex slowly started to remember what it was like to have a family. Whether or not she will ever fully recover is questionable, but it is certain that she is on her way.

Posted after Chapter Eleven: Onward, to Corack
Age: Technically 156. Religion: Hopeless Shadow. Character: Loner, HotHead. Physical Features: Red Hair, White Skin-Tanned, Thin, And Wields A Fiery Sword. Greatest Strength: The Fiery Sword. Greatest Weakness: Cold. Best Friend: Ramad. Secrets: none, he's more than willing to speak his mind about anything.
Soksosu was the result of a wicked sorceror fusing himself with a wandering warrior. The eternally burning sword he wields is the only remaining mark of the sorceror's power. Soksosu has had a rough life due to the fact that he is a Shadow Being. This means that he only has fragments of a soul, a fact which causes society at large frown upon him. And as a fusion spawned Shadow Being, he is even despised by most of the people like him. Thus, choosing to shun civilization, Soksosu made a home for himself in the most inhospitable section of Fiyara. His only friend is the dragon Ramad whom he befriended after helping him heal a critical wound. Although he has a great distaste of violence, he also has a nasty temper and strong convictions. More upsetting for him than anything else is the theory of Soulless Annihilation, a commenly held belief that anyone without a complete soul will have no afterlife. Between this sad belief that he could never enter heaven and his contempt for the world, there is little chance he will ever willingly leave his self-forged prison.

Age: 13,298. Religion: Hopeless Shadow. Character: Wise But Withdrawn. Species: Dragon. Physical Features: Black Scales, Red Eyes. Greatest Strength: Nightwrath. Greatest Weakness: Nightwrath. Best Friend: Soksosu. Secrets: is infected with the Nightwrath virus (but that never stays secret for very long).
Ramad met Soksosu when the lone warrior found him lying near death. Soksosu had never been one to show mercy to massive creatures, but this wasn't another ogre or troll or any other savage monster from the Deep Mines; this was a dragon. After Soksosu saved Ramad, the dragon refused to leave, knowing that he owed Soksosu his life. This annoyed Soksosu at first, but he soon learned to think of the dragon as a companion rather than a pest. He also learned that Ramad desperately needed help; Ramad was infected with the Nightwrath virus by a hag many years ago. Nightwrath is a horrendous mystical disease that makes whoever is infected prone to violence and destruction on the night of the full moon. Their is no cure for Nightwrath, so every full moon Soksosu chains up his friend, lest he kill innocent lives, or worse, be discovered by authorities who would have him killed because of his illness. After all, it was because of things he did while possessed by the Nightwrath that Ramad was near death when Soksosu first met him.

Changed characteristics; Secrets: feels juvenile/unintelligent.
Cevin was relatively pleased with his adventure in the Underground before the battle in Metramon's fortress. Since then, he has been questioning whether or not he and his friends really belong in the Underground. Now, separated from his friends and living amoung strangers, Cevin has learned just how the Undergrounders see him. From thier ancient perspective he looks a hundred times older than he is. But Cevin no longer has the option of turning back; with his friends missing, he has made it his duty to find them and he can't do that without the aid of his new master, Devios Sneakay Longdrake the 10th, and his new friend, Commander Codin. And of course, they won't help him unless he agrees to help them.

Age: 1,036. Religion: Agnostic. Character: Friendly but Stern. Physical Features: White Skin, Blond Straight Hair, Thin. Greatest Strength: Military Tactics. Greatest Weakness: Unimaginative. Best Friend: Devios "The Black" Oringbar Longdrake. Secrets: Doesn't want to fight in this war.
Codin's real name, when translated into English, means "Clone 373 of Silcar." In the 3,000-year War, most armies have resorted to cloning to make up for the lack of fresh recruits. Codin was created and trained for command, and when his predecessor (Corm Ni Admat co Silcar) was killed, Codin was chosen to take his place. Although this wasn't particularly surprising, another clone of Silcar called Alan believes he is more suited to the post and makes no attempts to hide it. Truthfully, though, the only reason Codin accepted the promotion was to irritate Alan; Codin never wanted to be a soldier, let alone a commander. But whether he likes it or not, he is a natural leader and the army pays better wages than most other jobs in the Underground these days.

Size: about 50 miles wide and 200 miles long.
Huricen is the highest location within the Underground. This causes very chaotic weather patterns which result in numerous hurricanes each year. Despite this, Huricen's many tropical islands make it a popular vacation resort. Unfortunately, since the start of the war, all commercial aircraft have been grounded due to the terrorist threats from Prof. Frotan and his minions. Travel over the Great Waterfall is extremely hazardous in this day and age, so the only way for air travel companies to remain open was to cancel all flights into and out of Huricen. As a result, nowadays only the people rich enough to own private aircraft and the people lucky enough to work for those rich people ever travel to Huricen. This has caused Huricen to become a popular place for major CEOs and parlimentaries to meet and discuss business transactions of all varieties, including illegal ones.
Huricen's citizens are under constant threat of terrorist attacks from Frotan, but the stalwart Governor Willy has been doing a marvelous job of preventing disasters and making sure the people of Huricen can live in peace.
Huricen does not directly border any of the Underground's major caverns. Instead, Huricen borders the Great Waterfall which flows down to the Diluje Ocean, the territory of Frotan. This great sea borders Newtrail to the west and Wogar in the far northeast. The only other charted passage between Huricen and another major cavern is an abandoned dwarf hall in the Deep Mines. This ancient mining colony was overrun by fearsome, dark creatures many millenia ago, and it has never been reconquered. For this reason, traveling through this ghost town is extremely hazardous and unadvisable; if possible, flight over the Great Waterfall is the safer of the two options. Huricen also possesses the only publically known passage to the Aboveground which comes out in Egypt beneath the paws of the Great Sphinx.
Story Ideas: I've given myself a limit to how many books I write at a time. As a result, many or most of these ideas may never become stories, but I'll throw them out there. If a particular idea interests you, let me know and I'll move it up in the queue.
Cain McAlister, Unmasked
The first book in a series I may write. A girl named Mary Black begins getting suspicious about certain boys at her church, but she has no idea what she's getting involved in. Cain McAlister and his dog, Regina, are rogue Russian experiments. Granted incredible intelligence, the two of them are constantly inventing new gadgets and such. But the Russians want their experiments back, and the F.B.I. is also trying to get their hands on the duo. A typical boy-genius story combined with highschool drama, national spies, international spies, and a talking dog lead to some wacky and dangerous adventures in the Cain McAlister series.
I'm pretty sure there's already a book with this title out there somewhere. If so, this is not the same story. This is based off of a very vivid dream I once had about me and my (now ex-)girlfriend. Only, in the dream, I was an alien disguised as a human. My people had been forced off of their homeworld and needed a new one. When they discovered earth, though, they found the planet already inhabited by an intelligent species, so they began studying the human race. Our hope was that eventually we'd be able to pass ourselves off as humans. There's one major catch though: if any of our race... uh, sleeps with a human (cough, cough) there will be no way for that person to keep his/her true nature a secret. In our race, emotions elicit physical changes, and if any of our species becomes too romantically involved, the device that makes us look human won't be able to maintain the illusion. In my dream, I was sent down to learn about romantic relationships, specifically how to break up with a human without hurting her feelings too badly. Just one problem: I fell in love with the person I'm suppose to break up with...
