Author has written 8 stories for General, Nature, Fantasy, and Life.
Welcome to my corner of FictionPress. I post information about my stories here as well as a profile.
I enjoy writing, reading (I read too much--especially on the computer), and drawing (I also have a DeviantArt account). Aside from those and homework, I don't really do much.
The Dumping Grounds: I often write when I am bored, so I put all these little unconnected pieces together in this collection. I also write for The Dumping Grounds when I'm stuck on another story. Most of them are pretty short--under a thousand words. Currently, there are two: To Be in Eden and Golden Eyes. The first one is inspired by a quote: "To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring—it was peace." ~ Milan Kundera. The characters in it are unnamed. The second one was a drabble that I found in my journal from a couple months ago. I rewrote it and made it longer. Half of it is a flashback, where I used past tense instead of present.
Fallen Darkness: This one was supposed to be in The Dumping Grounds, except it was a bit long for it. Originally it was finished at one hundred words, but then I had a sudden inspiration and turned one scene into a story told in four simple segments. When it was completed, it was over one thousand words, so I posted it separately.
Of Changes and Daydreamers: Like Fallen Darkness, this was supposed to be for The Dumping Grounds, except it ended up with more than one thousand words. It somewhat reflects on my recent life, but only vaguely.
Guardians of Nyx: Nyx is the Greek goddess of the night, by the way. This is a poem that I did for English class and is probably the longest poem I've written. I don't write poetry a lot--I'm more of a fiction writer.
My writing: I've been told my writing style is kind of "serious", although that's not true for every piece. My best genres are adventure and fantasy. In my stories, I don't like to give characters names, but then sometimes the pronouns can be confusing. When I do, they're usually names with some meaning.
Enjoy my stories and thanks for reading.
