ABOUT ME

If you are reading this, then that must mean that you are interested in learning more about myself! Well, to begin with, I live in Massachusetts and I'm fourteen years old. I know some people don't really like giving out their ages, but I figure, how many fourteen year old boys live in Massachusetts named Matt? A lot. So, I don't think there is really any harm so long as I don't give out the name of my town or my last name.

Anyways, I love to read and write. My favorite book series' are the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the Heroes of Olympus Series, The Kane Chronicles and The Hunger Games Trilogy. I also enjoy music, for I feel it speaks what cannot be expressed, as the quote goes, I suppose. However, I'm not really a mainstream kind-of guy. My favorite bands include Evanescence, Three Days Grace, Arcade Fire, Mayday Parade, Blink-182, Simple Plan, Mariana's Trench, Band of Horses, Death Cab for Cutie, The Fray, Hollywood Undead, Jimmy Eat World, Linkin' Park, My Chemical Romance, Secondhand Serenade and Superchick, to name a few. Or, more than a few, haha.

I have longish brown hair (it doesn't pass my shoulders; you'll see it in my avatar, or if you check out my deviantART), olive skin, and eyes that are a mixture of green, blue and gray which earned me the nickname 'Sir Pretty Eyes'. Despite this, I am dreadfully insecure about how I look, and just about myself in general. However, I do admire that I try to look for the best in and try to be nice to everyone. :3

Most of my writing, I warn you, will be depressing, however. I may post a few fictional/fantasy stories, because I do like that genre and I have ever since I was little, but, for the most part, the genre will be Young Adult.

Current Stories: MENTAL

MENTAL: In beautiful and exciting San Mateo, California exists a psychiatric, in-patient treatment facility named the Oakford Medical Clinic, designed for peoples between the ages of twelve and twenty one, and one day, six teenagers with six different stories, lives and issues, are all brought together by the problems they share.

There's Isabella, a rape victim who's turned to self-harm to cope with her depression; Jason, a boy who gave into peer pressure and started using heroin to escape the expectations of his perfectionist parents in eighth grade; Savannah, a girl whose bullying regarding her weight caused her to develop an eating disorder; Raymond, a boy who became depressed due to being made fun of because of his sexual orientation; Adrienne, a suicidal girl who was abused and molested by her parents and is bullied in-and-out of school; and Bryan, a schizophrenic boy who tried to claw his eyes out.

And, of all places, where do Isabella, Jason, Savannah, Raymond, Adrienne and Bryan meet? That's right. At the Oakford Medical Clinic.

Genre: Young Adult.

Rated: 'T'. Some content may not be suitable for people under the age of thirteen.

Main Characters: Isabella Botticelli, Jason King, Savannah Martin, Raymond Conroy, Adrienne Coleman and Bryan McIntyre.

Isabella Rose "Bella" Botticelli: Isabella is the daughter of Paolo and Angelica Botticelli. She is the older sister of Nicoletta "Nikki" Botticelli. She was born in Los Angeles, California and lives in Hillsborough, California, in a gated community. Her two best friends are Paige Marcolini and Hazel Fletcher. She was raped by her boyfriend in eighth grade, and when he went around telling people that the two had sex, she began to be bullied, being called a slut, whore, bitch, and so on. To cope with the depression this caused, she began to cut herself. She is described as having blonde hair, blue eyes and tanned skin. She generally fakes a smile, but she tries to be nice and accepting towards everyone. She is of Italian, French and German descent.

Jason Alexander King: Jason is the son of James and Julie King. He is the younger brother of Jared King and older brother of Julia and Jacob King. He lives in Woodside, California. His two best friends are Sophie Cincotta and Eric Warren. In fifth grade, his other best friend, Jessica Maher, moved to Texas due to financial issues and this caused he, Eric and Sophie to become depressed. Sophie then turned to drugs, and eventually got Eric and Jason to use heroin as well. He is described as having blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. He is of Scottish, Irish and German descent.

Savannah Lynne Martin: Savannah is the daughter of Ralph and Cecilia Martin. She is the younger sister of Daniel "Dan" Martin and older sister of Kendra Martin. She lives in Menlo Park, California, and attends a fancy boarding school "for the gifted". Savannah was previously overweight. At one point, she was through with the insults and began dieting. She became obsessed, and when she fainted one day in gym, her parents forced her to eat. From that point on, Savannah has been stuck in a cycle of starvation, binge-eating and purging. She is described as having pale, parchment-like skin with dark brown hair and a few freckles, with almond-shaped gray eyes and is very thin. Her hair has begun to become gray and fall out. She is of French, German, Finnish, Welsh and Dutch descent.

Raymond James Conroy: Raymond is the son of Simon and Deborah Conroy. He is an only child. He resides in San Mateo, California. He comes from a family of devoted Christians, but he is openly gay. He is constantly teased and is a victim of corrective rape. He is described as having smooth, flawless and pale skin, auburn hair and large brown eyes. He has a cheerful, round, babyish face. He is known for being very fashionable and passionate about clothing, often wearing varieties of colors each day, as well as scarves, gloves, floppy hats/beanies, et cetera. He is of Irish, Norwegian and French-Canadian descent.
