Hey! My name is Tay, but since my pen name is Misty, you can call me that too! I'm 21, like to write, and don't have NEARLY enough time to do so! Got stuff to say? Drop me a line.

Bet you thought I wouldn't be back for another six years.

Began revision of the story formerly titled Return of the Lost Pharaoh, now called Depths of the Ancient River. I might change that title, too, but it'll do for now. I'm going to be editing all 3 chapters, and hopefully getting the fourth out by the end of the Presidents' Day Weekend. Each time a chapter is revised, it will say so in the update notes for the story, up until the next chapter is added, at which point it will go back to the normal format of the newest chapter being listed.

Wow, I didn't think I'd neglect this place even more than my Fanfiction, given my propensity toward original stories these days. Maybe I'll edit some and put them up here for giggles. Is this a comeback? Idk. Maybe? Depends on whether I'm feeling passionate, I guess. It's been pretty rough for me lately, so maybe I'll try to escape through writing. I don't have nearly as many edits to make on this profile compared to my fanfiction one, but I should probably revise my stories (or even take them down entirely?) because...yikes.

Happy Valentine's, y'all.

So much for being more active. While I have yet to take down The Crystal Year, I'm happy to say that I've finally gotten around to fixing up the posted chapters of Return of the Lost Pharaoh, whose title I'm planning on changing to a...less childish-sounding one. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Also, Initiation (Part 2) should be up very soon. Thanks to all who still visit this lovely author while she was away and be sure to watch for more!

Man, I've really let this place go, huh? I'm starting this section to sum up any updates I might've made. For starters: I'm going to try to be a little more active on here, though FanFiction has admittedly captured much of my attention as of late.

Secondly, I'm sorry to say that I'm discontinuing The Crystal Year until further notice. The plot that I was thinking of following was a bit stupid, and it wasn't really popular, anyway. I decided to remake it altogether. I'm sorry to all those who reviewed/subscribed, namely Spiral Architect. To make up for that, however, I'm going to take Return of the Lost Pharaoh off of Hiatus and upload some new stories onto here as well as revamp my profile.

For all of my readers, I apologize and promise that I'll be better. For now, please be patient with me and thank you.

Depths of the Ancient River (formerly Return of the Lost Pharaoh): This is my first story on here. It was inspired by what I learned in World History in 7th Grade during the Egypt Unit: That experts couldn't find the tomb of Ramses, but only a tunnel under his alleged sarcophagus that seemingly goes on forever. I've had the character and plot in my mind for quite a bit before that, only the protagonist was a boy who's mother had died after getting sick and gave him his initiation herself. It was modified when I thought back on it after just joining FictionPress and thinking: Hey, I've been thinking about this for a while. Why not make this some sort of legend?

As for Ateeri's name, I don't even really know. I wanted something unique, and it just kind of popped into my head.

Newest Update: Initiation (Part 1)

The Crystal Year: The title for this story actually came one night when I was leaning against the car window on the way to my dad's house one night. The radio was on, but it was all fuzzy and the volume was turned down. I heard the muffled words to a commercial (Or was it a radio announcer? Perhaps a song?) and it sounded somewhat like "The Crystal Year." I was staring at the full moon at the time. Then I thought: Hey, this could mean something. What 2 phases do I see the least? The Blue Moon and the New Moon. What if they each happened at least once a season?

The minute I got to my dad's house, I put it up on a site called NiceNet, though it was a bit confusing and not well-edited. Eventually, I edited it on both sites and posted the story that you now see.

Newest Update: Chapter 3: Confrontation, Pt. I (DISCONTINUED)

To Whom It May Concern: I don't write Romance unless it's some sort of weird Action-Romance. If you like lovey Romance or anything like that, you've come to the wrong place. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Finally, I just thought I'd give a special thanks to my old friends, the Nerd Herd. Especially Maddie, who'd helped me get started over on FanFiction as KyuNano, Amanda, who'd kept tabs on my stories as TheLoneTiger and told me how to make them better, and Sarah, who gave me inspiration and nifty ideas with her quirky personality and insane ways for all new stories. You guys are still awesome to me!

Experts called it impossible. She called it a year soon to come. They called it the day they'd rise again. We didn't really know it existed, so what do we call it? And why are we the ones that have to defend against them? Oh right, because she said so...
