![]() Hi guys. Thanks for checking out my profile. The main thing you should know about me is that I am a Christian and proud of it. I love reading and adore writing, whether it's songs, poems, fanfiction, or original stories. Besides music, writing is pretty much the only thing that keeps me sane (well, for the most part anyway...) I've loved language arts since I was little and everday I become more engaged and fascinated with it. I believe writing is a learning curve, so I will gladly take any suggestions you have for me. I believe there is always room for improvement, and I strive to constantly grow in my writing skills. Music is the other half of my life that keeps me from going crazy. Music to me is food for the soul. I love thinking about the different stories behind songs and the artist that wrote them and how they came up with the actual music for it. I love learning about artisits, their stories, and what they stand for. I admire artists and authors for putting themsleves out there and sharing their work. I'm truly grateful for that, so that I can read and listen to their pieces and relate to it. Some of my favorite books include: "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green, "Impulse" by Ellen Hopkins, "Divergent" trilogy by Veronica Roth, and "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. My favorite TV shows are "Scandal" and "Law and Order: SVU". I think these shows do a beautiful job of having complex, deep characters and tells stories that matter beneath the thrill or romance and suspense. Why I Write: I write in order to breathe. I write because, to quote Flannery O'Connor "I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say." I write because with words and characters, I can reveal and explore the parts of me that I hide from others, and even from myself. I write to fight, to find truth; to express the intense emotions and tell the stories that are desperately needing to be given a voice. That people need to hear. I write because stories unite us and connect us. The words that bleed from our hearts, that come from the battles we've fought and the places we've been; the places we yearn to go to and things we long to do. I write to escape; and I write to find myself. I write to create. Because after I put a pencil to paper, something new is there that was not there before; and I made it. That is one of the most magical things ever, and it brings me great satisfaction. I write because I love to read, and I wish to contribute to this beautiful world or words and stories. Currently: I am working on several original stories that I will be posting once they are complete or at least almost done. More information to come on these stories. |
