I am a writer from the southern coast of Oregon in the United States. It's a beautiful and peaceful place right on the ocean.

I am working on two novel projects right now, I hope you enjoy them. Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of them.

My go-to media are science fiction and fantasy. These are my chief areas of interest, but as a reader I have much broader tastes. I believe one needs to cultivate a wide range of input to be able to craft meaningful stories.

Of my two ongoing works, the historical fantasy "King of the Emerald Isle" began, and this is somewhat embarrassing, as what might amount to fanfiction for a computer game, Crusader Kings II. My initial story concept followed a very interesting game session, and it has expanded from there. I had much more of this story up here and in other places previously, but I became extremely dissatisfied with it months ago and decided to make a run at a do-over.

Over the years of working on this project I have learned so much about pre-Norman British history, and in many ways much more about world history. It's been humbling and eye opening, and in some cases infuriating. I hope to channel as much of that as possible into the story.

My other story, "The Isthmus Gate," started a few months after my mother's death. Much of the early experience in that book is bulk fabric from my own personal experience, and my wish that I could be my heroine and have at least the chance to save a loved one from the Reaper's scythe.
