Hello everyone!

I have registered here to post a story I have been thinking about for years now.
It has started as a just-for-fun project with a friend, but she lost interest quite soon. At that point I had already fallen in love with the characters so much that I just had to continue.
It still needs beta-reading; therefore it might take a bit of time until the first parts get posted.

By the way: English is not my first language - please do correct me if there are mistakes. I am happy about that (not about the mistakes, but about letting me know...)

My reviews may come across as harsh from time to time, but all I want is to point out flaws so you may improve on them.

I'll give you a short list of the "real" books I like (because I think you can say a lot about someone judging from what he/she likes)

Tolkien: The Lord of The Rings
Tolstoy: Anna Karenina
Sarah Waters: The Night Watch, The Little Stranger
Goethe: Faust, Werther
Hermann Hesse basically everything
Kafka: The Metamorphosis
Shakespeare: Hamlet
Nietzsche: Thus Spoke Zarathustra
Michel Faber: The Crimson Petal and the White
George R.R. Martin: A Song of Ice and Fire

Mary Sues. We all know them, the perfect character we all have made at one point. This manual is for the growing fiction and fanfiction community on how to recognize and avoid creating a Mary Sue.
