Author has written 7 stories for Haiku, Action, General, and Fantasy.

I'm just a (relatively) normal high school student who has lots of ideas (but usually not the drive to make them a reality). I write because it feels good to finally get them down on paper.

One of my favorite things to do is to take well used tropes and conventions in stories and spice them up so they feel fresh. In particular, I like to deconstruct and reconstruct those tropes and conventions, addressing issues that have not been touched upon much before and making the original idea plausible in a realistic setting.

For example, mages who use electricity (lightning) are pretty common. But have you seen any that use their abilities to do such things as defibrillate patients, or jury rig a railgun, or use electricity to create a plasma light show?

Of course, I do still have my fair share of somewhat original ideas (at least I hope they are).

Unfortunately, I am probably not going to post anything more than a few first chapters of my stories. It has been a very long time since I last was on this site, and that is rather indicative of how my future activity will be.

Rising - Book One: Light reviews

With over two millennia of technological development behind them, Humanity now fears only itself. But as Humanity focuses its attention inwards, an ancient enemy from outside waits for its moment to strike.

The Game: Revamped reviews
The (well used) premise: normal high school student, Aaron Skotos, is forced to fight to the death with other people. The catch: video game physics (Life bars! Rocket Jumping! Air Braking! Hyperspace Arsenals! etc.) The Flipside: He also has to go about his normal life all the while. The Plot: what plot? It's a slice of life story that does not like to stay in one genre.
