"That's all fine and dandy," I said, hating the way my voice sounded - as if I had a nasal condition, or allergies, or something to that effect. "But right now, what I really need is the nurse. Or an E.R."

I took one last look at the Burley House and I could've sworn I saw something in one of the upstairs windows. I blinked and it was gone.

"Basically... I knew you were the girl for me when you suggested we drink orange soda while watching Kenan and Kel."

"What are you doing here?" he glanced at the shelves full of pads and tampons then back to me. "Is that why you were so bitchy today in Photography?" I pursed my lips for a few seconds before answering, "Actually, I'm looking for ice cream."

"Yes!" I exclaimed. "Well, not all the time. I mean I named this one Jewel because I bedazzled her when I first got her, so she's all shiny and glittery – like jewels." I said, and then looked at him. "Don't judge me, okay?"
