Phoenicia is on hiatus. I am writing and storing up as many chapters as possible while I am still out of school. Posting will resume in about a month.

My Favorites:

The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury. A depressing, yet amazing novel about the terribleness of humanity. If you can't already tell, Ray Bradbury is my favorite author of all time. Everything that he writes is perfection, to me.

The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak. READ THIS BOOK NOW. If you like historical fiction with a witty, unique style of writing, you will absolutely love this book. I mean, come on... It's narrated by Death him(?)self!

Divergent Series by Veronica Roth. The main character in this is amazing, as well as her love interest. Both are pretty damn well written characters, which is unusual for me to say about a dystopian YA novel.

Leviathan Series by Scott Westerfield. A great adventure novel, and the interesting steampunk setting really makes me adore these books.

The Diviners by Libba Bray. The setting is perfect: 1920's New York City, where supernatural beings exist in the world. It is a pretty damn creepy book for a murder mystery, but I highly recommend it if you are looking for a good historical ficiton YA novel.

Marina and the Diamonds. I Am Not a Robot, Teen Idle, Mowgli's Road, The Outsider, Hollywood

Gorillaz. Melancholy Hill, All Alone, DARE, Every Planet We Reach is Dead

The Black Keyes. Gold on the Ceiling, Little Black Submarines, Lonely Boy, Run Right Back

AWOLnation. Soul Wars, Knights of Shame, Wake Up, Jump on my Shoulders

Imagine Dragons. On Top of the World, Demons, Tiptoe, Nothing Left to Say/Rocks

Nico Vega. Beast, Million Years, Fury oh Fury

TV -

The Walking Dead. My all-time favorite TV show ever, for multiple reasons. Daryl Dixon is my man.

New Girl. A hilarious show (usually) with characters I really enjoy. Schmidt is my spirit animal...

Downton Abbey. I love the 1920's. The setting is perfect, the costume design is gorgeous, and lets not forget the amazing actors as well!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The story of Edward and Alphonse is heartbreaking at times, but well worth the watch. THIS is high-quality writing, the plot is perfectly planned out and executed throughout all 64 episodes. FMA:B will always be my favorite anime, not to mention it was the first one I ever watched as well!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica. A short, yet brilliant story of five young girls who spiral downwards into despair. The twist on the Magical Girl trope is awesome by itself, really. I also love the witches, especially the special way they are drawn and (SPOILER) their implied back stories.

Darker than Black. Makes me cry every time I think of this anime. Somehow, this show became deeply engraved into my heart when I watched it. It is a violent, depressing, and outright beautiful show.

Chihayafuru. A more recent anime that I've seen. The characters are the best part of this show, especially Chihaya, Shinobu, and Taichi. Great writing, great animation.

Ships -

1) Fourtris from Divergent.

2)Taichi x Chihaya from Chihayafuru.

3)Hei x Yin from Darker than Black

4) Nick x Jess from New Girl

5)Jerza/Gerza from Fairy Tail

Characters -

1) Juvia Lockser from Fairy Tail.

2) Shinobu Wakamiya from Chihayafuru.

3)Michiko Malandro from Michiko to Hatchin.

4)Evie O'Neill from The Diviners.

5)Daryl Dixon and Carl Grimes from the Walking Dead (they are tied for me!).

My OCs:

Malia Blakely. A creepy ameonna of the rain.

Nelly Fisher. She makes her own choices.

Erick Saunders. The enigma.

Nigel Keyes. His ego much too big, his will much too weak.

Fae Alberona. A bombshell who has more than a few tricks up her sleeve.
