Author has written 1 story for General.

Hey everyone, I'm Cary.

Every story/poem you read on my account is practice for me to develop my writing skills. My goal is to one day get something published and to (potentially) become a full time writer, though I'll be content working for a publication company to help others get their books published until I can comfortably support myself.

Some of my favorite books include...

The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns, And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven
When We Collided by Emery Lord
The Raven Cycle and The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater
The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton

You'll probably see a lot of the common elements between these books in my stories, because these are my some of my favorite books and my goal is to ultimately create a story that I would want to read if I saw it on a shelf.

If you want to message me, feel free! Whether it's to rant about the ending of The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater (I could talk for HOURS about that series, honestly) or it's to tell me my writing sucks, I'll be ecstatic to receive your message.

At the moment, none of the ones I'm working on have a decided title so... Nothing to see here!

Just Smile and Nod by Nightingales reviews
I draw the people I hate in school. I hear the gossip, I hear their lies; but I draw from what my own eyes see. And I see the embarrassing, devastating, beautiful secrets my peers all try to hide. And I have quite the collection of humor; a sketchbook full of those pathetic illusions... Until the most popular boy, and my most hated, happens upon my misplaced book of insults.

Sticks and Stones by worthwritingfor reviews
In Gracelyn Clarke's opinion, Koda Draveden had no reason to be pissed. Her mother abandoned her, she was kidnapped and almost killed, and now a bunch of crazies were insisting she was born half wolf, and he wanted to complain that she was supposed to be his mate? She didn't care how alluring his stupid yellow eyes were - she just wanted to stop being mistaken for a dog.

Minimum Wage by brittanan reviews
I think I should have paid more attention in math class. Maybe I would have graduated with a better GPA. Maybe I would have remembered to pay my apartment rent and wouldn't have gotten kicked out, and now have to find a way to pay back 3,500 dollars in one summer. And maybe I wouldn't have gotten caught in the mansion of two of my worst enemies. I hate being eighteen.

Perfectionist by Fromzeheart14 reviews
Lenny Evenson was six-feet-five inches of perfection. Everyone loved him- even I loved him. Well, not like that- never mind. . . Anyway, I was just Piper Pearson, (Unfortunately, 'Pee Pee' for short), the girl who was awkward and overly sheltered. After a terribly awkward turn of events, I ended up actually talking him and finding out things that I never would have suspected.
