About Me:

Hey, I'm DF!

I'm also on fan fiction:

Age: 26

Relationship Status: Very, very taken. ;) Married 7 years and counting, baby! Oh, and we have two kids. They are small and cute and stinky.

Bloodtype: …What?

Bio (because that word makes me feel cool):

-Mom first and foremost. Will use the “mommy voice” and authority to ground and send you to time out if you make me angry.

-Overly enthusiastic dreamer with a vivid, runaway imagination.

-Writer, musician, wannabe artist, reader, beginning cosplayer and amateur photographer.

-Side activities include googling cute photos of cheetahs (my favorite animal), and eating as much cereal as I possibly can without making myself sick.

-Struggles daily with depression/anxiety/panic disorder, but still here and still kickin’. :)

-Country kid through and through and proud of it. Cows are my friends, the smell of fresh-cut alfalfa overwhelms me with happiness, the sound of field sprinklers in the night soothes me to no end, and tractors are my favorite type of vehicle.

For me, it's so much more than a pastime. It's part of who I am and always has been.

I'm not great at it, but I practice and work every day to find my voice. I'm still learning and growing, but seeing where I've been, where I am, and where I'm headed is one of the most rewarding aspects of writing to me.

I love creating plots and worlds and characters to inhabit them. I love taking already-existing plots and characters and giving them something different to experience. I love shaking things up, challenging the norm and improving on earlier ideas. I love putting words together and watching them spin into an exciting tale for my readers and for my own enjoyment as well.

There are always new literary pathways to forge, new twists on familiar themes, new ways to go about storytelling. It's an epic journey and I hope it never ends.

Now That the Sappy Stuff's Out of the Way:

-As a rule, I usually try to finish every fic I begin, but since I am a married mother of two and family responsibilities take precedence, there are times when I simply can't update regularly, even if I want to. Please be patient?

-On that note, please don't beg me for updates/more chapters! I update my stories when I can/want, not on demand. Sometimes I take a break from a story to change pace or avoid forcing myself to write something I just don’t feel like working on. Sometimes I’m still ironing things out plotwise and need time to plan and create the very best story I can. Sometimes I drop a story altogether and, though it can be a huge bummer for everyone involved, that is my right as an author. It doesn't happen often, so don't worry too much.

-I don't read a lot of other people's fiction...? I'm sorry, but...I just...don't. Honestly, I'm really only here to write. On the rare occasion that I do take a peek at a fic or two, don't expect a terrific review. I'm TERRIBLE at reviewing.

-Yeah, I make mistakes like everybody else. Sometimes really idiotic ones that stick out and poke you in the face. Plotholes, typos, misspellings, out-of-character characters, missing words, etc. It's all part figuring out how to be a writer, but I tend to get kind of embarrassed about them, ha. I do try to thoroughly comb through every chapter multiple times before posting...buuuuut oftentimes I get a little too excited, jump the gun, and stuff slips past me. If you notice anything blatantly obvious or have constructive suggestions, please let me know, but do it nicely. ;)

-I love connecting with my readers! Feel free to leave feedback on any of my stories or drop me a line just to say "hi". :)
