Her very existence is a sin and as such she is treated like the sin she represents. The only child to feel her mother's love she is unusually knowledgeable for her age and pessimistic for the race of the Necus (humans) and the Victus (vampire like people). She uncovers secrets along with her close friend Kiethin who lives in the Necus world. We get to follow two times in her life. The earliest is when she is eleven to twelve.
