I have finished my novel, The Emerald Song. Feedback and criticism would be greatly appreciated, specifically in terms of plot and character development.

Currently looking for people to participate in a review exchange. PM me if interested. Be warned, however - the story I am requesting to be reviewed has exactly 225 chapters, each varying in length (smallest is around 200 words, largest is around 13,000 words), equaling out to around 600,000 words. If you want to have a fair exchange with me, either have a story just as long or have more stories I can review for you.

I am also looking for a beta reader, much like every writer on the site who wants to improve their writing. Anyone who is interested in a fantasy/mystery story and wants to get into a long term plotline, feel free to PM me about it. As said above, at the current time I am more interested in story and character development than I am in grammar and sentence structure (for reasons that will become clear when/if we begin working on it), so I would appreciate a beta reader who is focused on the same thing.

My target audience is that of a reader who wants a long-term story where barely anything is spoon-fed to you. The Emerald Song, and by proxy my writing style, is meant for those who enjoy figuring things out for themselves, especially when they are merely being given many, small puzzle pieces to work with. I won't admit to writing stories that are easy to read or grasp, or even 100% entertaining, but I do try my hardest to make the pay off satisfying enough to validate the journey.

Patience is required when reading anything I have to say. Obviously this does not appeal to everyone, but this is the intention - I don't write for everyone. I write for my own tastes and would like to share that with those who are similar.
